Taylor Zimmerman – Kidder County – (5’6/SG/2026) – Taylor is starting for the Wolves as only an 8th grader. She’s quick, versatile, and can shoot the lights out of the gym. She’s currently shooting nearly 70% from the free-throw line and 37% from 3. She’s a consistent player that is sure to get all-district honors if not all regional honors in the coming years. With some minor improvements on the defensive end and a more confident ball-handler, she’s an all-state prospect in the making.
Maggie Fricke Maggie Fricke 5'7" | PG Minot | 2025 ND – Minot – (5’7/CG/2026) – No stranger to the limelight, Maggie is a walking bucket getter. She’s currently averaging 18.3 points a contest increasing her numbers from last year by nearly 7 points a game. She has the handles, agility, shooting, and driving capabilities that make her a 3-level threat. She’s a legit player that you have to watch to believe. Fricke is a future all-state player and has the ceiling of a D1 athlete.
Norah DelaBarre Norah DelaBarre 5'9" | PF LaMoure | 2026 State ND – Lamoure/Litchville/Marion – (5’9/SF/2026) – Norah is a steady rock when she gets in for the Wolves. She understands her role and goes with it. She can post up and play outside basketball. She has a solid mid-range shot from 17. If she can find a consistent 3 point shot and develop more post play she should be a great addition to the Wolves in the near future. DelaBarre got great minutes as an 8th graders on an already deep LLM team and should develop more of a starting role come this time next season.
Aubree Jeanette – St. John – (5’5/CG/2026) – Aubree has developed and continues to develop into a solid guard for the Woodchucks. She’s put up solid 8th grader numbers for varsity in averaging 5.1 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals a game. Her career high in points came against Warwick in which she shot 50% from the field for 14 points. Jeanette can put the ball on the deck and has an explosive first step when attacking the rim. Her favorite move that we’ve seen this year has been a nice rip followed by a step back for a sweet mid-range shot. As Aubree continues to develop her game look out for her in the coming season with the Woodchucks.
Elizabeth Fedje – Drayton/Valley-Edinburg – (5’10/PF/2026) – How many 5’10 8th graders do you know? I just know one and that’s Elizabeth Fedje. Elizabeth is a future 4 year starter for Drayton. She’s got solid footwork in the post for an 8th grader, but still seems to take those 8th grade shot choices. She shoots the ball a low 27% currently from the field. A stat that is sure to rise in the coming years. Her career high came against Warwick in which she scored 14 shooting 33% from the field. Fedje has a good looking mid-range shot, but needs to gather a polished post game to elevate her to the next level.
