For the final week of the regular season for Florida High School Girls basketball, I have a few players that will be featured on this edition of Orlando Area Standouts.

Rossi, a smaller guard on the Forest Lake Academy roster. She is very creative with the ball offensively, getting to the basket using shifty attack moves, and when she has the opportunity hits the outside jump shot. Her shot is very smooth coming out of her hand, nice form. Rossi also goes into a higher gear on the defensive end of the floor, creating steals, jumping the passing lane, and diving on the floor for loose balls.
Amanda Mclendon 2022 5’11” SF Olympia
Mclendon, a smooth player that controls the inside for the Titans. She has a soft, touchy mid-range jump shot. She can attack the basket from the high post off one dribble aggressively using both hands and finishing with either hand. She is the leading the team in points with 11.3 points per game and in rebounding with 11.3 rebounds per game. She is uncommitted, with several offers so far.
Lynnelle Mosqueda 2023 5’6” SG Bishop Moore
Mosqueda, who had 12 points versus the top ranked Colonial Grenadiers this week, helping the Hornets to the victory. She is quick guard that plays tough, relentless defense. She can handle the ball and distribute to her teammates as she is passing out 2.0 assists per game.
[player_tooltip player_id="247183" first="Courtney" last="Merritt"] 2023 5’8” SG Olympia
Merritt, a strong PG for the Titans, controls the ball for the team. She is averaging 2.4 assists per game on the season. While putting in 4.1 points per game. She has a nice frame for the guard position, which helps her control the ball while keeping the defenders away from stealing it.

Siarah Johnson 2025 5’7” PF Doctor Phillips
Johnson, only a freshman, is having much success with the Lady Panthers in the 2021/2022 season. She is the second leading rebounder for the team with 6.8 rebounds per game. A tough, solid, and aggressive player that plays hounding defense. Look forward to seeing her in the coming years.
[player_tooltip player_id="248844" first="Haylee" last="Klusman"] 2022 5’8” PF Lake Howell
Klusman, a wing player that consistently knocks down the three balls. She plays within the team concept, knows the offense, and is a true team player. Klusman, plays smart, intense defense, usually facing an oversized opponent at the Power Forward position. She is scoring 8.6 points per game and grabbing 5 rebounds on the season.
