Players to Watch: The Clamps

We are continuing our series, heading into our last week of high school basketball, on some of the best players to watch. For this article, we are focusing on some of the best defenders in the state. These young ladies know who to put the clamps on their opponents. &nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id="94507" first="Jordyn" last="Carr"] | Tri County Northeast | Sr | 5’7" Jordyn is stuffing the stat sheet for Tri County. She averages 19.8 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists per game but her most impressive stat is her 6.6 steals per game, including an 11 steal game against Winside. She has excellent anticipation and keeps her hands busy when defending or in passing lanes. She is quick to turn defense into offense. She does an excellent job staying in front of the offensive player and watching their eyes to determine their next move. She is currently a averaging 5.7 steals per game and as she develops on the offensive side, her scoring production will increase. She has quick hands and feet, which allow her to keep players in front of her and create turnovers. Averaging 5.3 steals per game, she has had multiple 10+ steal games this year. This year she is averaging over 16 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.0 steals per game. Hansen has good size with long arms which causes trouble with offensive players. She moves her feet well and is quick to get her hands in a play when the ball is shown.
