Here are some standouts whose strong senior seasons have earned them some love in the recent <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/colorado/rankings/2022-rankings/">2022 Rankings Update</a>:
#54 [player_tooltip player_id="380604" first="Anna" last="Salmore"] - Lakewood
Huge two weeks for the 5’11" senior who’s come on strong late in her high school career. She led all scorers dropping 23 in a pivotal win over Chatfield and then played like an absolute stud putting up 20 in the Tigers’ overtime playoff win over Liberty. Salmore is aggressive and versatile inside and has had a great year (10.7 PPG, 11.5 RPG, 2.4 SPG).
#58 [player_tooltip player_id="380894" first="Madden" last="McHugh"] - Regis Jesuit
McHugh has stepped into a big role in her final season with the Raiders. The tiny but talented 5’4" guard scored 17 in a close win over powerhouse Chaparral. More importantly, she’s hit double digit assists in two of their biggest wins with 11 dimes against Doherty and 12 against Chap. She’s been just the catalyst Regis has needed to stay in the mix after graduating a big group last year. McHugh has an impressive 2.2 A/T ratio this season, is 14th in the state with 4.9 assists a game, and is scoring 8.0 points a game.
#71 [player_tooltip player_id="380895" first="Natalia" last="Simonson"] - Arapahoe
Simonson's strength and range provide depth at small forward for the Warriors . She’s been a consistent outside threat, hitting 38% of her threes this year (19-50).
#83 [player_tooltip player_id="95178" first="Jadalise" last="Gomez"] - Riverdale Ridge
This kid can shoot! Gomez has nailed 40% of her threes this season. And even though she’s small (5’4") Gomez isn’t afraid to mix it up, grabbing 5.6 boards a game for the Ravens to go along with her 7.0 points.
#91 [player_tooltip player_id="316816" first="Aalyviah" last="Smith"] - Mitchell
Smith has had a high-energy senior year, scoring 14.8 points a game with 3.1 assists. She does most of her damage at the rim and at the free throw line (91 made FTs) and is great at putting opposing teams in foul trouble.
