#7 [player_tooltip player_id="100472" first="Mallory" last="Miller"] - 6’4 C 2023 - Aberdeen Christian - Mallory has been as consistent night in and night out as you can be in a breakout Junior season. She’s scoring, rebounding, and blocking shots at a very high level. She rises up into the top 10 in the 2023 class as an interior presence that can also step out and shoot the ball. She requires double-teams inside and can make clean catches over top the defense. She could end up in a wide range of college programs, and her 6’4 frame cannot be unnoticed.
#12 [player_tooltip player_id="261381" first="Kira" last="Mentele"] - 6’1 F/C 2023 - O’Gorman - I’m very high on Kira as a prospect. Kira’s frame and length standout on the court. She has a smoothness about her game. Moves like a gazelle up and down the court. A long-strider that moves well and is more fast than quick. She doesn’t rush herself offensively and can put the ball on the floor to create separation and get a better look at the hoop. She can post up and then release to a wing spot and not be lost with the ball. When she decides to turn and post/seal her defender, she does so in a aggressive and quick manner. A prospect that needs to be mentioned as one of the best in the state.
#13 [player_tooltip player_id="166689" first="Coral" last="Mason"] - 5’10 G 2023 - Viborg-Hurley - Coral is a long guard that has continually been on the rise. She can handle the point at 5’10 and has a unique explosion when she puts the ball on the floor. She can score the ball, putting in 16.2 ppg. Also attacks the ball for 7.5 rpg. A highly athletic prospect that plays with tenacity in the paint, fighting for the ball.
#14 [player_tooltip player_id="100499" first="Zoey" last="Gerry"] - 6’0 G/PF 2023 - Madison - Zoey is a unique/interesting prospect. She’s six-foot and can play a guard spot, handling the ball prominently for her team. She can keep a handle on the ball up and down the court and into a half-court setting. A point-forward prospect that does if all for her team. More of a pure basketball player than athlete. Plays for the Sacred Hoops program in the offseason.
#24 [player_tooltip player_id="246271" first="Jaida" last="Young"] - 5’6 G 2023 - Watertown - Jaida plays fast paced and tenacious on both ends of the court. She goes full speed but is under control and can handle and pass the ball at a high level. Brings the ball up-court prominently and most likely translates to the point guard position.
#25 [player_tooltip player_id="188478" first="Kate" last="Connor"] - 6’0 C 2023 - Howard - Kate is a true center with high IQ, motor, and power. A fierce battler inside, that plays with strength and position. A consistent producer, scoring inside and rebounding at a double-double level.
#31 [player_tooltip player_id="312164" first="Nancy" last="Peter"] - 6’1 C 2023 - Sioux Falls Jefferson - Nancy comes off the bench for Jefferson but she’s a solid 6’1 center prospect. Has good enough feet to not get beat off the dribble on the perimeter. Boxes out consistently. She’s a starter on most teams in the state and is a college prospect. Nancy played for the Pentagon Schoolers program this past summer.
#36 [player_tooltip player_id="246177" first="Mallory" last="Valburg"] - 6’0 F 2023 - Jones County - Mallory is a significant stock-riser in this update. She has some good versatility to her with her six-foot frame. Moves well for that size and has a surprising handle on the ball. She can put the ball on the floor for a time to push or relieve pressure. Also, puts the ball on the floor to attack from the perimeter. A relentless attack, not shying away from contact. A highly active player on both ends that will fly around and battle inside for positioning and the ball. There’s a lot to like from an effort and energy standpoint.
#40 [player_tooltip player_id="261616" first="Josie" last="Mousel"] - 6’0 G 2023 - Colman-Egan - Six-foot guards with the length, speed, and athleticism of Josie don’t grow on trees. She is extremely dangerous with the ball in a fast-break situation and she can blow past the defense for easy lay-ins.
