They will be the ones that will get them rolling and to compete at the highest level, 1000 Point scorer Bailey Shutsa is filling up her career stat sheet and looking to add on during the post season with the help of her teammates also Gabby Destefano, Bailey Acord.
LAKESIDE
Perry having a sub par season they have two strong guards who can score at will and has been carrying their team throughout the regular season. Both guards can shoot from deep and get to the basket and they are looking to revenge their tournament play from last season again Salem in the district final and good be back on track to meet up again and looking to get over that hump that slowed them down for regionals. With the play of Meredith Randulic Meredith Randulic 5'9" | SG Perry | 2022 State OH and Mia Guscoff an other they will be a team to look out for in the lakeside bracket
Salem is playing some good basketball despite a few losses on the season as a team they protect the paint well, , they get out and get steals push the ball in transition. They move well on and off the ball and with their length, they play team defense to slow the other’s down, they can shoot the ball they swarm for loose balls. After a lost last season by 1 point to Perry they will be looking to make another run at Districts with the play of Kamryn Rohm, Mikaylynn Murphy, Abby Perry and others.
Uniontown Lake
Marlington with two losses on the season looking to carry their momentum into the post-season play and make the trip to Dayton. Last yr they was 2 points away to heading into regionals where they lost to a good Poland Seminary team the way this Marlington team has been playing they are looking to get over the hump and be dominate in their bracket and making it to regionals and to Dayton. With the team play of the dukes they should have success in their first rounds of the tournament behind Chelsea Evanich Chelsea Evanich 5'10" | SF Alliance Marlington | 2024 State OH , and Elizabeth Mason.
Poland Seminary has been playing good team ball, they have good movement swinging the ball around the perimeter to get open shots. That’s the reason this team has been successful past couple of years. Last year they had a good run in the tournament before it came to an end in the regional semifinals against Perry, and all that has been on their mind is to finish what they got started they have a good steady core of girls that can get the job done behind Seniors, Abby Farber, Connie Cougras, Sarah Forsyth
Beloit West Branch has a team of players who puts it out on the line, they have a lot of different skill sets, they have the height, length and the shooting to take them to the next level. Last year they lost by 5 to a Marlington team in District Semifinals this path they are on and as long as they play as a team like they have been all season it shouldn’t be anyone in their way to get them where they wanna go, with the play of Sydney Mercer, Anna Lippiatt and others.
