Megan Clary Megan Clary 5'6" | CG Wisconsin Rapids | 2022 State WI -5’8 G-Wisconsin Rapids
The main holdup on Clary is she is on the smaller side for a wing at the next level. Other than that, I have found it hard to see something not to like about her. Clary’s jumper is one that I’m sure professional players would like to have. Her jumper has a high release and is very simple. I don’t have her shooting percentages, but I think it’s safe to assume they’re good. I believe that her ability to shoot would play at any level in college, and the fact she’s still available is a headscratcher. However, any team that does get her will receive one of the most talented shooters in Wisconsin.
Brynn Fuerstenberg Brynn Fuerstenberg 5'10" | SG New Berlin Eisenhower | 2022 State WI -5’10 G/F-New Berlin Eisenhower
The Eisenhower wing has a chance to be a versatile piece to a team at the next level. Fuerstenberg is a sneaky athlete that surprises people with her ability to create turnovers. The Lion also is never “out of position,” she always seems to be in a spot where she can make a play on a loose ball or jump a pass. On the offensive end, the senior has shown she can score from the outside, and her size could be a problem that opposing guards can’t handle well.
Natalie Gricius Natalie Gricius 5'10" | PF Oconomowoc | 2022 State WI -5’10 F-Oconomowoc
I’ve gotten to see Gricius play once this season. That was in the KM Classic against Oregon. Even though her Raccoons lost that game, she was the most influential player on the floor in that game. I’ve never seen a quicker jumper than the one Gricius has. You have to be in her jersey, or she’ll get her shot off with no issues. Her motor runs high every second she’s on the floor. I noted during the Oregon game the ferocity that Gricius attacks potential rebounding opportunities. There isn’t a time when she doesn’t think she can get a loose ball. If you ever lose track of where she is on the floor, find the ball, and you’ll have found Gricius.
Demetria Prewitt Demetria Prewitt 5'7" | PG Madison La Follette | 2022 State WI -5’11 G-La Follette
The La Follette senior has finally gotten to play high school ball after an ACL tear and a season canceled because of Covid. What I can say for sure is that you won’t find a more persistent kid than Prewitt anywhere else. There aren’t many people, let alone high schoolers, who can earn 20 free throws in a game. Prewitt can. Over the season, she’s earning about seven and a half trips to the free-throw line per game and making 78% of them. Prewitt is a winning player who isn’t afraid to do anything to win. Her persistence and will to win showed up on the road against Janesville Craig. She was blocked when she attacked the basket, grabbed her rebound, and put the ball in the basket to beat the No. 1 team in the Big Eight at the time.
Makenna Rohrscheib Makenna Rohrscheib 5'9" | CG Regis | 2022 State WI -5’10 G-Regis
The Eau Claire area native has been incredibly consistent in scoring the ball this season. She has to do a lot this season, and she’s done it well. Even though Regis hasn’t been great this season, Rohrscheib has kept her team competitive in games they may not belong in this season. I think she’s more of a lead ball-handler at the next level, and she could earn time early. From what she did last summer, Rohrscheib has proven that she sees the floor well, and her high school season has proven she can also score when it’s needed.
Callie Ziebell Callie Ziebell 5'6" | PG Slinger | 2022 State WI -5’6 PG-Slinger
The level of spacing that Ziebell brings is absurd. She is much more than a floor spacer, but she can genuinely force the defense to play four on four because of how far out Ziebell’s guarded. Ziebell sees the game like an extra coach on the floor and isn’t afraid to make what she sees known to her teammates. If you ever hear her talk about basketball, you’d think she’s a coach. Ziebell is a kid you can trust to keep teams organized and to make the right decisions with the ball.
Saige Radke Saige Radke 5'7" | PG Milton | 2022 State WI -5’7 PG-Milton
I enjoy the aggression that Radke brings to a game. She probably has one of the highest usage rates in the state. The Redhawk has to do so much it’s unreasonable to ask a kid to do what she does, but it’s just what Milton needs. A player with her direct nature can jolt offenses at the next level that seem a little stagnant. If you don’t trust the numbers she’s put up, ask coaches she plays against, and they’ll likely tell you how talented Radke is as a player. The senior also seems like a player who will jump at any opportunity to play at the next level, and she will work to be the best player she can be in the next four years.
