Eliza Maupin Eliza Maupin 6'3" | PF Webster Groves | 2022 State MO (Webster Groves): The 6’2″ Kansas State recruit was tremendous in the loss to nationally-ranked Incarnate Word in the championship game. She had 24 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two blocks, but the stats tell only part of the story. She played with a ferocious motor at both ends of the court, which made her virtually unstoppable. She was hitting 3-pointers, running the court, attacking the rim off the dribble and competing at a high level for long stretches.
K.K. Brody (Rock Bridge): The 6’4″ Pepperdine recruit scored 10 points in the third place game victory over Cardinal Ritter. The Bruins did a nice job of establishing her in the post early in the game. She scored on a turnaround jumper and a pair of drops steps around the basket. She also stepped out and hit a 15 footer. Of course, she can close the middle down with her ability to block shots.
Arianna Bennett (Cardinal Ritter): The 6’2″ forward scored 10 points in the third-place game against Rock Bridge. I was very impressed with her overall ability. She rebounds well and had a defensive presence inside with her length. She is very agile and she runs the court well. She is a good interior passer who could also hit the 15-footer from the baseline.
Sophie Nittinger (Webster Groves): The 6’2″ Eastern Michigan recruit had a solid outing in the championship game against Incarnate Word. She had a solid impact on the game without scoring a lot as she had six rebounds, five assists and two blocks. She uses her length inside very well to block and contest shots and she is very mobile as well. Her best basketball is ahead of her in the future.
Adele Maupin (Webster Groves): The 5’9″ forward quietly had a very effective championship game as she had 10 points and five rebounds off the bench. She hung around the basket and got buckets off of dribble penetration. She was very active at both ends as she made some impressive hustle plays for her team. She’s physically strong and she knows how to use her body to get good position against taller players.
