Since there were six teams that made it to the TOC, we wanted to put together our own All-TOC Team consisting of 10 players spread out across the First and Second Teams. Here is PGH NJ’s All-TOC team for 2022.
FIRST TEAM
Madison St. Rose Madison St. Rose 5'10" | PG St. John Vianney | 2022 State #65 Nation NJ – St. John Vianney
St. Rose being on the First Team of this list was a no-brainer as she averaged 21.0 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 5.5 APG and 4.0 SPG for the Lady Lancers in the TOC. She finishes her high school career with 1,747 points, 113 made three-pointers and 321 steals in 101 games played.
Zoe Brooks Zoe Brooks 5'8" | CG St. John Vianney | 2023 State NJ – St. John Vianney
Brooks finished off an incredible junior season with the Lady Lancers in style, averaging 20.5 PPG, 4.0 RPG, 2.0 APG and 3.0 SPG in this year’s TOC. Her tournament was capped off by a 27-point performance against Sparta in the semifinals, the highest-scoring performance of any player in the TOC.
Brynn McCurry Brynn McCurry 6'1" | PF Sparta | 2023 State NJ – Sparta
McCurry was quite impressive in her two games in the TOC, averaging 19.5 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 5.0 APG, 1.5 BPG and 3.0 SPG for Sparta. Despite a loss in the TOC semis against St. John Vianney, it was one of McCurry’s best games of the season, a 24-point, 6-rebound day with five assists and four steals.
Mikayla Blakes Mikayla Blakes 5'8" | SG Rutgers Prep | 2024 State NJ – Rutgers Prep
Blakes was a vital piece for Rutgers Prep in its run to the TOC final, averaging 16.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 3.7 APG, 1.3 made three-pointers and 3.7 SPG in three TOC games for the Argonauts. Without Blakes, Rutgers Prep doesn’t make it to the TOC championship game.
Katie Ledden Katie Ledden 6'0" | SG Rutgers Prep | 2023 State NJ – Rutgers Prep
While Ledden was neutralized against St. John Vianney, her three-game TOC performance was spectacular, averaging 14.3 PPG, 5.0 RPG and 1.3 APG. Ledden’s best game came in the quarterfinals against University, where she scored a game-high 23 points in a 68-56 win.
SECOND TEAM
Grace Klag Grace Klag C Westfield | 2022 State NJ – Westfield
Klag played just one game in the TOC as Westfield was knocked out in the quarterfinals, but she kept the Blue Devils in the game. The senior forward finished her high school career strong with an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double along with two assists and three blocks, her 19th and final double-double of the season.
Destiny Bynum-Johnson – University
Bynum-Johnson played in just one TOC game, but had a great last two games of her junior season. Coming off a 29-point performance in the Group 1 final, she knocked down a career-high six three-pointers, scoring a game-high 23 points along with six rebounds, three assists and three blocks.
Bailey Chapman – Sparta
Chapman had a rough go against the Lady Lancers in the TOC semis, but in her two games in the TOC, she performed well, averaging 12.0 PPG, 2.5 RPG, 2.0 APG and one made three-pointer a game. Her 18-point performance in the quarters made the difference in a 55-47 win for Sparta over Westfield.
Janie Bachmann – St. John Vianney
Bachmann was one of the best bench/secondary options for St. John Vianney this season, especially in the tournament. She averaged 5.0 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 1.7 APG, 1.3 BPG and 1.3 SPG for the Lady Lancers. Her best game was a nine-point, five-rebound performance in the TOC final where she also had two blocks.
Mary Elizabeth Donnelly – Manasquan
