Devon Carlile Devon Carlile 5'7" | PG Dallas Center-Grimes | 2025 State IA – Guard – Urbandale – Started 15 games in her freshman debut season for Urbandale. The high motor guard drops a dime right on the spot on the break. Very quick with effective ball-handling skills to boot. Missed out on some games with a broken finger and Concussion. She never really has to rest. Low turnover ratio. Great to the rim game with court vision. Look for her to do big things this coming weekend as she participates in the Jr. All-Star showcase in Minneapolis.
Layla Trytten – Forward- Dowling Catholic – 22 Game starter for the maroons who made a state tourney appearance this year. Very long athletic hybrid who can defend well for a freshman. Has the ability to run the team at the guard position.
Ellie Olson – Dowling – Didn’t start many games for a deep Dowling group this year. Long athletic frame. Rebounds very well. Look for Ellie to make waves this summer. I see her making a significant impact for Dowling next year as they graduate a few of their post players.
Finley Netten – Van Meter – 12 game starter. Finley’s game is strong. She can score well at all levels. Love’s to be a pest on defense with her long reach. Converts a lot of steals with her long stride and solid ball-handling skills and finishes well. Makes the right pass on the break and isn’t selfish. Look for a breakout sophomore year.
Lauren Nidey – Waukee – Only started one game but played in 22 and made some big waves. Solid three-point jumper. Strong to the rim game who can finish well in traffic. A lot of young talent at Waukee for the next few years to come.
