2023
Angelina Khalaf 6’1 C (Porter HS)
Khalaf’s name was being called and I had left happy hour so I thought I was hearing Khaled and I asked “where is DJ” and Bates pointed at Derrick yet all jokes aside, I definitely got a glimpse of what she brings to the table and first of all, she’s under control and powerful, scores after contact and has nice moves around the basket yet she can put it on the floor and attack the basket as well as show the pull-up jumper. Rebounds on both ends and defended well in the paint
Shanice Ferguson 6’0 SF( Madison HS)
Ferguson is long and athletic, remember that’s the base I use for many of my profiles and what the player adds to the base, She and Crystal Hayes are coached by Tamara Marion, a young lady who was a #D1Lock in the 7th grade at Pershing before I even started using that hashtag but Ferguson plays the passing lane and is a good “on the ball defender” as well as rebounder on both ends but she can score on a variety of ways and those strides to the basket will create some issues, so will her facing the basket
2024
AhNia Bolton 5’7 G (Alief Taylor HS)
Bolton might not be related to Michael be she definitely left several tunes in my head because of her athleticism, especially on the defensive end as she understands how to trap, go hard “on the ball” and of course play the passing lane yet she has good handles the open court and sees the floor well but her attacking and finishing acrobatically or attacking and dishing are going to come in handy throughout this club season
Madison Bob Madison Bob 5'8" | SG Hightower | 2024 State TX 6’0 G (Hightower HS)
Bob is already listed in the Top 100 and I think that’s what she runs in track so her meet had her absent and speaking of meat, still no boudin from home from her folks, and although I love boudin, Madison’s game has always impressed me even when I thought they were calling her Bob because of her hairstyle yet she’s long and athletic, does a good job of not only creating her shot but knocking it down with a hand in her face yet her first step, as well as her ability to elevate, gives her options on how to score. Oh yeah, she plays the passing lane
McKenzie Deville 5’6 G (Hamilton Christian HS )LA
Deville’s name reminded me of the first new car I bought, trues and vogues, yessss yet her game is the truth and although they didn’t bring any boudin either, and they live in Louisiana, I’m letting it go, this time, but McKenzie seems to take her game to a different level every time I see her play. Her stop and pop jumper in transition is hard to handle because of her SWB, the speed with the ball, yet her court vision and pinpoint passes make her a legitimate threat, especially since she applies pressure defensively
