[player_tooltip player_id="304734" first="Jenna" last="Lawrence"] | Forward | Farmington | 2023
Arguably the best player in the class of 2023, Jenna does a lot for her team on both ends of the floor. In this game, Jenna rebounded well, blocked some shots, and caused as much havoc as she could on defense. Offensively she got going late but stayed relevant throughout the course of the game. On her team’s press break she was the primary pressure release by using her size in the middle of the floor to receive passes and then attacking down the floor or making the pass to teammates running down the sideline. She showed she has good vision when attacking, rebounded well on the offensive end which lead to some easy put-backs, and she displayed her ability to make the 1 dribble jumper.
Carson Dillard | Guard | Farmington | 2022
Carson played with a lot of grit and heart. She’s a player that is going to play hard the whole game on both ends of the floor. She was good off the dribble. She created plays for herself or for teammates when she attacked. She scored in transition and knocked down a couple of shots from behind the arc.
Megan Hernandez | Wing | Farmington | 2022
Megan provided a little bit of everything for her team. She brings energy and effort on both ends and often finds herself in the right place at the right time to capitalize off plays. She ran the floor hard in transition which lead to some easy finishes. She cut to the basket and teammates found her. She even sprinted hard to the basket as [player_tooltip player_id="304734" first="Jenna" last="Lawrence"] chased down a shot and was on the receiving end of a pass underneath the basket for an easy lay-up.
[player_tooltip player_id="306110" first="Kyleigh" last="Scoggins"] | Point Guard | Nashville | 2023
The 4A tourney MVP did a really good job of running the team, getting others involved and scoring when she had the opportunity. Kyleigh got to the rim and finished with either hand, made the mid-rang pull-up jumper in transition and knocked down the catch and shoot three-pointer.
Lauren Carver | Guard | Nashville | 2023
Lauren got going in the first half. She finished in transition a few times, created opportunities off the dribble, and in the half-court when she attacked she finished a variety of ways. She had a great first half with her aggressive nature and scoring.
[player_tooltip player_id="305929" first="Sidney" last="Townsend"] | Forward | Nashville | 2022
Some players just live for the big moment. No matter how they are playing, when the game is on the line they want the ball to make the play or to shoot the game-winning shot. This is exactly what Sidney did. Sidney hit the game-winning three-pointer with just over three seconds remaining in the game to give Nashville the win. She also contributed throughout the course of the game. She attacked the rim strong, made some catch-and-shoot jumpers and was effective out of the high post.
