The updated 2022 Rankings were posted yesterday afternoon. There was several players added to the rankings and this article will mention the top new additions from this past season.

[player_tooltip player_id="403436" first="Shaela" last="Carrillo"] was one of the top new additions to the site from her latest play this season. Shaela had an excellent season averaging 14.2 points per game and 6.1 rebounds per game. She led Valley in scoring this season and was one of the top 20 scorers in the state. Shaela had six games this season where she scored at least 20 points in a game. She shot 45% from the field and recorded two double-doubles this season. Shaela was easily one of the top players in the state this season.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="403437" first="Erynn" last="Montehermaso"]- 5’3 PG "To’hajiilee"</span>
Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id="403437" first="Erynn" last="Montehermaso"] was a key player for To’hajiilee this season and played a huge role in them making the 1A State Tournament. To’hajiilee went 19-4 in the regular season and won their district title. To’hajiilee secured the #8 seed in the 1A State Tournament. [player_tooltip player_id="403437" first="Erynn" last="Montehermaso"] was the teams second leading scorer this season averaging 12.3 points per game. To’hajiilee made it to the 1A State Quarterfinals before losing to #1 Animas 46-37. [player_tooltip player_id="403437" first="Erynn" last="Montehermaso"] was a key addition to the 2022 rankings.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="403438" first="Martina" last="Tafoya"]- 5’2 PG "Penasco"</span>
[player_tooltip player_id="403438" first="Martina" last="Tafoya"] led #4 Penasco to the semifinals in the 2A State Tournament. Penasco went 18-9 in the regular season and secured the 4th seed in the 2A State Tournament. Martina was Penasco’s second leading scorer this season averaging 12.2 points per game and averaged 3.6 steals this season. This season Martina scored at least 20+ points in a game four times this year. [player_tooltip player_id="403438" first="Martina" last="Tafoya"] was definitely one of the top additions in the updated 2022 rankings.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="403440" first="Mikayla" last="Westfall"]- 5’6 PG "Del Norte"</span>
Despite a tough regular season for Del Norte High School, [player_tooltip player_id="403440" first="Mikayla" last="Westfall"] had a solid regular season for her school. This season Mikayla led Del Norte in several categories this season; points, rebounds and steals. Mikayla averaged 11.8 points per game, 7.5 rebounds per game and 2.4 steals per game. This season she recorded four double-doubles throughout the season. Mikayla was also 17th in the state in rebounding this season. She was without a doubt one of the most underrated players in the state this season.
<span style="text-decoration: underline;">[player_tooltip player_id="403444" first="Reagan" last="Madonia"]- 5’6 SG "Albuquerque Academy"</span>
Shooting Guard [player_tooltip player_id="403444" first="Reagan" last="Madonia"] led Albuquerque Academy to a 13-11 record this past regular season. Reagan led the team in scoring averaging 10.5 points per game and scored in double figures ten times this season. Albuquerque Academy played in a tough district and [player_tooltip player_id="403444" first="Reagan" last="Madonia"] held her own with her play this season. [player_tooltip player_id="403444" first="Reagan" last="Madonia"] is one of the top additions to the updated 2022 rankings.
