We are deep in the state playoffs and only 8 teams in each division are left standing. I’m going to give you my predictions

WEST BLOOMFIELD VS. TROY

3/15 7:30PM at University of Detroit Mercy
Prediction: West Bloomfield
West Bloomfield is loaded with high end talent and Troy is playing it’s best basketball of the season. The [player_tooltip player_id="188581" first="Sydney" last="Hendrix"] and [player_tooltip player_id="147734" first="Kendal" last="Zeiter"] matchup should be fun to watch.
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="147731" first="Myonna" last="Hooper"] (2022, PG, West Bloomfield)
The savvy veteran will play a key role on both ends of the floor.
[player_tooltip player_id="147781" first="Charlotte" last="Sobotka"] (2022, SG, Troy)
When Sobotka shoots well, Troy can be a state title type of team.

ROCKFORD VS. EAST LANSING

Prediction: Rockford
Rockford has one of the most underrated backcourts in the state and East Lansing features athletic wings and an elite inside-outside forward.
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="189318" first="Alyssa" last="Wypych"] (2023, PG, Rockford)
Wypych has taken her game to a new level and runs the Rockford offense with precision.
[player_tooltip player_id="147776" first="Ella" last="Miller"] (2022, PF, East Lansing)
Miller is the x factor. If Rockford struggles in their matchup with her, East Lansing will advance.

MILDLAND DOW VS. HARTLAND

Prediction: Hartland
This one could be an instant classic. There’s a ton of talent on both rosters and both are equipped to play a grind it out physical game.
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="186364" first="Alexandra" last="Kolnitys"] (2022, PG, Midland Dow)
Hartland has a load of tough physical defenders in the backcourt. If Kolnitys can shine through, that will say a lot as to the result of the game.
[player_tooltip player_id="147746" first="Lauren" last="Sollom"] (2022, PF, Hartland)
Life will be much easier for Hartland if Sollom can create and take advantage of some matchup mismatches.

WAYNE MEMORIAL VS. RIVERVIEW

Prediction: Wayne Memorial
Wayne Memorial will lean on a bevy of versatile forwards and an elite freshman guard. Riverview is in the midst of a Hoosiers type story, led by a breakout season from their star player.
Key Players:
[player_tooltip player_id="188584" first="Mayla" last="Ham"] (2023, F, Wayne Memorial) and [player_tooltip player_id="307483" first="Paris" last="Bass"] (2023, G/F)
I think these 2 will play a key role in trying to offset the production of [player_tooltip player_id="230784" first="Elyssa" last="Kincaid"].
[player_tooltip player_id="230784" first="Elyssa" last="Kincaid"] (2023, F, Riverview)
Find me a better breakout season statewide. Kincaid has put up staggering numbers all season and has her team 3 games away from a state title.
