Prep Girls Hoops Missouri takes a look at some of the top individual standouts from a big Friday night of district championship basketball around the state.

[player_tooltip player_id="170215" first="Destiny" last="Buerge"]: The 2023 guard scored a game-high 25 points in C-J’s victory over Willard in the Class 5, District 6 championship game at Willard. She is a smooth operator with the ball in her hands and she can also score at all three levels. She was also knocking down 3-pointers off the catch as well as a few pull-ups from long distance while on the move.
[player_tooltip player_id="255532" first="Kylie" last="Scott"]: The 6’2" 2024 scored 19 points and controlled the action inside in the victory over Willard. She’s also a tireless worker on the boards and a walking double-double every time she steps on the floor. She maneuvers inside well for buckets and she is also very mobile as she will run the court in transition.

Lexi Rubel: The 6’1" 2022 wing had another dominate overall performance in the Bulldogs’ 50-27 victory over Farmington in the Class 5, District 1 championship game. She finished the game with 22 points, 17 rebounds and five assists as she excelled a virtually every position on the floor.

She continued her hot shooting in the postseason with four more 3-pointers in the finals. A couple of them came from well behind the 3-point line. She plays at a fast pace and she does it under control while being able to disrupt the opposition with her speed.</h6>

She used her quickness and great anticipation to be disruptive on defense. Her excellent instincts put her in the in the right position to make some big steals. She also shot the ball well and excelled in the open court.

Not only does she dominate with her height inside, but her skill set and mobility enable her impact the game anywhere on the court.

She used her quickness to a great desire to get to the ball as shown by her two double-doubles in the district tournament. She also hit some key 3-pointers in the championship game.
