Really impressive with her footwork in the paint and her ability to get good position in the paint. She does a good job of sealing her defender and giving her teammates a good target to deliver the pass. Most importantly, she does a good job of finishing the play. Steen showed a nice midrange game in the paint and loves to shoot it off the glass. On the defensive end, she was tough in the middle and did a good job of challenging shots in the paint. She rebounded well on the offensive end and on the defensive side of the court. In one game, she demanded the ball down the stretch and delivered every time in the low post.
Audrey Beyer Audrey Beyer 5'10" | SG Tocoi Creek | 2026 State FL 2026, 5’10 G (ECU) (pictured left) had a great performance on day one of the tournament and it will be remembered for a while. In a game that featured juniors and seniors on the court, Beyer (who is in the 8th grade) was the best player on the court. Beyer wasn’t hiding on the court and her teammates were looking for her to make plays at crucial moments of the game. Beyer delivered all game and finished as the game’s high scorer with 24 points, including two three-pointers. She handled the ball well in press-break, in the offensive sets, and in transitional plays. Beyer was extremely confident and comfortable on the floor. She was really good at attacking the basket and drawing fouls. The middle schooler scored 5 from the free-throw line as well. The sky is the limit for this talented 8th grader.
Jasnea Hall-McDowell 2023, 5’3″ G (OTOD) was a standout during the tournament. In one game of the March Madness tournament, Hall-McDowell was really effective shooting the three-pointer, connecting on three of them. When McDowell’s jump shot is on, it makes her an even more difficult player to defend. She usually is the best athlete on the court and one of the quickest. When defenders have to respect her jump shot, she becomes even more effective and can get to the rim as she did in the Jax Magic tournament.
Alexia Taliferro 2023, 5’8″ G (OTOD) was a standout on day one. Taliferro does a little of everything on the court: she rebounds well from the guard position, has good handles, and can score the basketball. The “do a little of everything” guard was in her element all day. She runs the floor with a purpose and always seems to be on the receiving end of long passes that result in easy layups. Taliferro can also score the basketball in the painted area as well as other areas on the court In the Jax Magic tournament, Taliferro scored 18 points in one game and 36 in another.
Indreauna Bargeron 2022, (OTOD) was a standout in the tournament over the weekend. The impressive part of her game was breaking down the defense and dishing to open teammates. Bargeron’s biggest asset on the court is her speed on the court. In transition, she is almost impossible to stop. in the March Madness tournament, she was impressive at the point guard position. She initiated the offense, controlled the ball in press break, and was disruptive against the opponent’s guards.
Jansie Repess 2023, 5’1″ CG (OTOD) stood out in the Jax Magic March Madness tournament. She has a great motor and that speed is were her strongest asset on the court. She disrupted the opponent’s offense the entire game and converted multiple steals into easy layups. She can really cover ground on the court and can outrun defenders who have the angle on her.
Kayla Hardaway 2022, 5’2″ SG (OTOD) shot the long ball well over the weekend and also was deadly on the free-throw line with 7 points from behind the charity stripe. Hardaway also did a great job of penetrating and dishing to the teammate for easy baskets.
