Eva Love Eva Love 5'9" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State NM – 5’10 Shooting Guard “La Cueva” Class of 2024
Eva Love Eva Love 5'9" | SG La Cueva | 2024 State NM led #3 La Cueva to a narrow 61-53 win vs #6 Onate in the 5A Quarterfinals Tuesday March 8th. She started off the game strong by setting the tone by scoring 10 points in the first quarter. She ended the game as the leading scorer with 20 points and scored her points in a variety of ways. She showed off her mid range game, her post up game, finishing layups and hit a three pointer in the third quarter. La Cueva will face Hobbs Thursday March 10th in the 5A semifinals.
Rylie Ottmann Rylie Ottmann 5'7" | PG La Cueva | 2022 State NM – 5’6 Point Guard “La Cueva” Class of 2022
Rylie Ottmann Rylie Ottmann 5'7" | PG La Cueva | 2022 State NM played a huge role in La Cueva’s win vs #6 Onate in the 5A Quarterfinals. She scored 13 points and dished 4 assists but it was her defense that sparked La Cueva’s comeback in the third quarter. La Cueva trailed 43-39 in the third quarter and Rylie Ottmann Rylie Ottmann 5'7" | PG La Cueva | 2022 State NM made a clutch “And One” basket that gave La Cueva momentum going into the 4th quarter. La Cueva defeated Onate 61-53 and will face Hobbs Thursday March 10th in the 5A semifinals.
Juliana Aragon Juliana Aragon 5'5" | PG Bernalillo | 2022 State NM – 5’5 Point Guard “Bernalillo” Class of 2022
Juliana Aragon Juliana Aragon 5'5" | PG Bernalillo | 2022 State NM scored a game high 29 points vs #6 Taos in the 4A State Quarterfinals. Juliana had the total offensive package last night and set the tone in the first quarter by being aggressive driving to the basket and converting several “And Ones’’ finishing those three-point plays. Bernalillo defeated Taos 69-48 to advance to the 4A State Semifinals this Thursday March 10th vs #2 Gallup.
Jaelyn Bates Jaelyn Bates 5'6" | PG Volcano Vista | 2022 State NM – 5’6 Point Guard “Volcano Vista” Class of 2022
Jaelyn Bates Jaelyn Bates 5'6" | PG Volcano Vista | 2022 State NM led the #1 seeded Volcano Vista Hawks to a home victory in the 5A State Quarterfinals vs #8 Centennial. Volcano defeated Centennial in a 66-33 blowout victory. Jaelyn Bates Jaelyn Bates 5'6" | PG Volcano Vista | 2022 State NM led Volcano Vista in scoring with 17 points. She had several baskets in transition with easy layups which led to a three pointer in transition that is tough to guard defensively. Volcano Vista advances to the 5A State Semifinals this Thursday March 10th vs #4 Farmington.
Donata Secatero Donata Secatero 5'5" | SF To'hajiilee | 2023 State NM – 5’5 Forward “To’hajiilee” Class of 2023
Donata Secatero Donata Secatero 5'5" | SF To'hajiilee | 2023 State NM led To’hajiilee to an upset victory over 1A’s #1 seed Animas. To’hajiilee defeated Animas 46-37 on the road to advance to the 1A State Semifinals. She led the way scoring 11 points in a low scoring game but made several game winning plays for her team.
Evann Segura Evann Segura 5'10" | PF Moriarty | 2023 State NM – 5’10 Forward “Moriarty” Class of 2023
Moriarty lost to Gallup in the 4A State Quarterfinals this past Tuesday March 9th. Despite the loss, Evann Segura Evann Segura 5'10" | PF Moriarty | 2023 State NM gave it her all and posted a double-double in the quarterfinals. She scored 19 points on 9/17 shooting from the field, shot 3/8 from three-point range and grabbed 13 rebounds. Moriarty lost to Gallup 73-53.
Jordan Torres- 5’4 Point Guard “Santa Fe Indian” Class of 2022
Santa Fe Indian defeated #6 Socorro in the 3A state quarterfinals this past Tuesday March 8th. Jordan Torres scored 16 points and made four three-pointers in the teams 50-45 victory vs Socorro. Santa Fe Indian advances to the 3A semifinals vs #2 Tohatchi Thursday March 10th.
