Players Who Caught My Attention- State Semi-Finals, Part 1

<strong>Sarah Zimmerman- G, 2022, Cincinnati Country Day:</strong>  <em>(Below, with ball) This</em> multi-sport athlete, who is taking her basketball and soccer career to Washington &amp; Lee University, can flat out go hard all game! She’s got speed, which compliments her so well on both ends of the court. She’s intense on defense. Keep Elizabeth on your radar! <strong>Carsyn Henschen- F, 6’1, 2022, New Knoxville: </strong> <em>(Below, #10) This</em> young lady can cover so much ground, because of her agility, quickness, athleticism, and length! She protects the lane so well, crashes the glass, and can knock down shots on the block and from deep! She’s fun to watch, and love her intensity and leadership- it’s very evident. <img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-400001" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2022/03/IMG_8652.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="200" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="400152" first="Ellie" last="Gabel"]- G, 5’6, 2022, New Knoxville: </strong>Gable is the motor for New Knoxville. She sets the tone for the pace of the game, transition, and shows so much heart! Ellie has a nice outside shot, can hit from anywhere, including behind the arc. She knows how to get to the charity stripe. She finished with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. (<em>Featured Photo, on defense). </em> <strong>Melisa Waterman- F, 5’7, 2022, New Knoxville: </strong>(<em>Below, on defense) </em>I really like the intensity that Waterman shows on defense. She will compete against anyone, and will hold her ground against the taller players inside. Waterman plays solid, fundamental basketball.
