Kantzer does this! In the 31:59 of playing time, she didn’t turn the ball over one time. That says something! Nice shooting touch, and dropped 7 points, and 4 rebounds.
Claudia Pifher Claudia Pifher 5'9" | CG Buckeye Central | 2022 State OH – G, 5’8, 2022, Buckeye Central: (Below on defense) Pifher played a strong game against Waterford, leading her team in points with 16, and was feeling it! Perfect from the line (4-4), shot 50% from three point range (2-4), and 5-8 total FG. Love her leadership and heart.
Cara Taylor Cara Taylor 5'3" | PG Waterford | 2022 State OH – G, 5’4, 2022, Waterford: (Below, shooting) Defense wins games, and defense produces turnovers, which result in transition buckets. Taylor is a feisty guard who thrives on picking pockets! She lead the team in steals against Buckeye Central with 6. She takes the ball to the bucket with no fear, and knows how to capitalize at the charity stripe! She finished with 13 points, on 7-10 free-throws, and 2-3 from behind the arc.
Mackenzie Suprano- G, 5’5, 2022, Waterford: Suprano’s overall quickness and decision making skills, combined with a sweet outside shooting makes her a tough one to guard. She’s quick off the dribble, loves an uptempo game, and sees the floor very well. She finished on 5-7 shooting, 2-3 from three point land, with 13 points, 6 boards, and 2 assists. Avery Wagner- C, 6’3, 2025, Waterford: (Below, in white jersey) I was very impressed by Wagner, and how she plays the game. She does not play like a freshman, but rather, is confident with her defense, ability to block shots and protect the paint. And she’s automatic with shots anywhere around the block, has a soft touch, uses the glass well. Rebounding isn’t a problem either! Remember her name!
