As with the 2022 and 2023 classes, I learned of a few players who are not playing this season. The net number now stands at 126. A substantial amount of work goes into developing and revising player rankings. To get an idea of how they are developed review my most recent article on the topic of rankings. One thing I can say is I am always discovering players new to me. Many on this list are new-to-me discoveries. One was added who was erroneously included in past 2023 ranks. Enjoy this look the players, listed in rank order.
Kambry Adams Kambry Adams 5'9" | PF Macksville | 2024 State KS , 5’9″, PF, Macksville – A solid rebounder for the Mustangs, Adams plays bigger than she is. She averaged 8.4 rebounds to go with 7 points on the season. Just shy of half of her 155 total rebounds were offensive! Increasing her field goal and free throw percentage will go a long way to increasing her scoring average.
Leela Jones

Jones
5'3" | PG
Wichita West | 2024
State
KS
, 5’3″, PG, Wichita West – Jones did a lot of everything for the Pioneers. She led them in scoring (12.4), rebounding (5.9), steals (4.5), and assists (2.2). She also had 5.3 turnovers per game for a extremely young team team that only picked up 2 wins on the season. Jones has quick hands, good speed with the ball, control, athleticism, and scoring ability.
Savannah Shahan Savannah Shahan 5'11" | PF Hillsboro | 2024 State KS , 5’10”, CG/SF, Hillsboro – Shahan finished the season averaging 14.7 points and 4 rebounds per game on 45% shooting. She will need to improve her perimeter shooting and free throw percentages in the upcoming year. As she gets stronger and her game grows I also would look for her assist and steal numbers to increase and her turnovers to drop. , 3.6 rebounds, shooting 52%, 30% from three (11/27), 48% FT, v Pratt 2.4.22 – a
Caitlyn Foltz Caitlyn Foltz 5'11" | SG Anderson County | 2024 State KS , 5’11”, SG/SF, Anderson County – Foltz is long limbed with good transition speed. As she gains strength and grows her game on both ends of the floor she will be one to watch. Foltz was second on the team in points (8.9), rebounds (10.2), and blocked shots (1.6) per game this season.
Teagan Garrison Teagan Garrison 5'6" | PG Mulvane | 2024 State KS , 5’5″, PG, Mulvane – 2.6.22 Adrian Maloney 1st article – “With a young roster, Teagan has stepped up huge this season for her team when they have needed her most. Flying under the radar a bit, she knocks down key jumpers down the stretch and can get to the rim when they need her the most. Look for her to make plays when Mulvane is looking to make a run against opposing teams. A guard that can shoot it, finish around the rim, and can put the ball on the floor.” Garrison was a 2021 AVCTL Div IV honorable mention. see www.mulvanesports.com. Tied for leading scorer at 7.4 points, 1.7 assists, 1.5 steals. 36% FG% poor 3pt shooter (3/17).

Emilee Hall

Hall
5'9" | SF
Great Bend | 2024
State
KS
, 5’9″, SF, Great Bend – Hall was an important scoring contributor for the undersized Panthers. While she is better suited to play on the wing or small forward, Hall often could be found playing the 5 spot as she did against Bishop Carroll in their sub-state game. Hall has the ability to score but what especially stands out is her understanding of the game. Finished the season averaging 11.3 points, 6.6 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.6 assists.
Halle Studer Halle Studer 5'1" | PG Riverside | 2024 State KS , 5’4″, PG, Riverside – While Studer can get out of control with in transition she is the team’s best ball handler. She can slice up opposing full court defenses with the dribble. She and her back court mates would be that much more effective if the team limited dribbles. Studer is very quick off the bounce but also uses her quicks to close out well on the perimeter. A three point threat, she has a swift release.
