While many of the seniors who participated have already committed to play college basketball at the D1, D2, and D3 level, a few of them are as of now, unsigned. Here’s a look at some of the top unsigned seniors I saw at the event.
1. Hailey Johnson Hailey Johnson 6'0" | SF JSerrra HS | 2022 State CA – JSerra
Johnson is a versatile forward who can do a little bit of everything on both ends of the floor. She can handle the ball on the break and in the halfcourt. She can space the floor with her shooting with range out to the three-point line. She can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim; draws contact and gets to the free-throw line. Can hit defenders with a little step-back jumper. Defensively, she can keep with ball-handling guards and she plays strong on-ball defense.
2. Bridgette McIntyre- St. Anthony
McIntyre is a smaller guard, but her size doesn’t effect her game. She’s a natural point guard with good ball-handling skills. She pushes the ball well in transition and is a willing and good passer to open teammates on the break. She rebounds well for a smaller guard and she can start the break off the glass. Plays well in the pick and roll and DHO situations and moves well without the ball relocating to the three-point line.
3. Alaini Cardoso Alaini Cardoso 5'5" | PG Chaminade HS | 2022 State CA – Chaminade
Cardoso is a bit of a scoring point guard. On the playmaking side, she has solid vision in the halfcourt and looks to pass first. Really solid in the pick and roll and recognizing where to make the pass. Scoring-wise, she moves very well without the ball; uses off-ball screens to get free at the three-point line where she’s a good catch and shoot player. She can also shoot off the dribble coming off screens.
4. Maddie Salud – Fairmont Prep
Salud is a good scoring guard with some playmaking ability. She makes good reads off screens. She is comfortable creating her shot off the dribble. She can also put the ball on the floor and attack the paint and kick out to open shooters. She moves well without the ball too in give and go situations. Spots up well from three-point range and is a good catch and shoot player and able shoot with the defense closing out.
