<strong>Class of 2022 Late Signees Update </strong>

<em>The class of 2022 has been active making decisions in the late signing period with a number of the state’s Seniors making decisions on where they are taking their talents to continue their academic and athletic careers. Here is a list of who has made decisions in the past two months. </em>

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91579" first="Savannah" last="Henderson"]</strong> – UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA
Henderson (Timber Creek High School) was signed and headed to UCF but with her mom departing UCF as the Head Coach and accepting the Head Coaching position at the University of Georgia, Savannah has elected to follow her mom to Athens, and has signed with the Georgia Bulldogs. She is a versatile, skilled wing who has exceptional length and great scoring ability.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="151173" first="Claire" last="Erickson"] </strong>– ROLLINS COLLEGE
Erickson (Westminster Academy) recently signed with Rollins College after helping lead Westminster Academy to a Florida State Championship. Erickson was second in the team in scoring (14.2 PPG) and led the team in assists with 4.4 APG. The 5’6 point guard had an exceptional Senior season and was a catalyst to her teams championship, running her team’s offense, promoting ball movement, and serving as a coach on the floor.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248864" first="Mira" last="Hanna"] </strong>– UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS LITTLE ROCK
Hanna (Berkeley Prep) averaged an impressive 12.6 points and 9.3 rebounds per game, leading Berkeley Prep to an 18-7 record and an appearance in the regional tournament. Hanna has signed a D1 scholarship to the University of Arkansas Little Rock. The 6’1 Forward can play inside and out. She has range out to the 3-point line, can put it to the floor, has good passing skills and a high basketball IQ.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91568" first="Zaria" last="Blake"]</strong> - JACKSONVILLE UNIVERSITY
Blake has been one of the top unsigned Seniors still on the board. She is a raw, long, superb athlete who can play the wing and the forward spot. She has an excellent wing span, that she uses effectively to get into passing lanes and play the top of the press. Blake has been a big part of the resurgence at Blanche Ely HS, making them not only one of the top programs in South Florida but in the entire state!
<strong>Bre Gustave</strong> - USC AIKEN
Gustave helped lead St. Thomas Aquinas to back to back state championships with her hot shooting and ability to put the ball to the floor and score at the rim. Gustave is also one of the top unsigned Seniors in the state and has the ability to use her strong build, broad shoulders to take contact when penetrating the paint and taking contact at the rim!
HILLSBOROUGH COLLEGE signs a trio of in state players. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="243960" first="Kiki" last="Bean"]</strong> (Spruce Creek HS), <strong>Sanaa Thomas</strong> (Palm Beach Lakes), and <strong>Renae Brant</strong> (Villages Charter) both choose to stay in Florida and suit it up for Hillsborough next season. Wekiva High School teammates<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="353522" first="Shaniyah" last="McCarthy"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="400791" first="Rylan" last="Moffitt"]</strong> will continue to be a dynamic duo, taking their talents to DAYTONA STATE next season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="248620" first="Avery" last="Cannon"]</strong> (Fleming Island HS) and <strong>Jacovya Major</strong> (Fort White HS) will also stay in state and suit it up for FLORIDA STATE COLLEGE AT JACKSONVILLE. <strong>Daija Lopez</strong> (SLAM! Miami) and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="220010" first="Elizabeth" last="Schnell"]</strong> (Calvary Christian Academy) were two of South Florida’s most talented unsigned guards in Florida and have chose to attend PALM BEACH STATE COLLEGE. <strong>Speaking of South Florida, Mariana Morejon</strong> (Killian HS) and <strong>Jessica Williams</strong> (Doral Academy) will stay in state and have signed with ST THOMAS UNIVERSITY.

Former West Oaks Academy standout, <strong>Mesi Triplett</strong>, also recently signed with the University of Arkansas Little Rock. The 6’3 forward was a member of the class of 2021.
<strong>The class of 2021 and 2022 are not the only ones making decisions. [player_tooltip player_id="91658" first="Olivia" last="Davis"]</strong> (Cardinal Mooney) is one of the class of 2023 top guards. She led Cardinal Mooney to the FHSAA Final Four averaging a team high 16.2 points per game and 3.4 assists per game. The 5’6 guard is a skilled offensive player who can play both the PG and SG position. She shoots a high percentage from 3 and can attack her defender off the dribble in the open court. Davis made the decision to verbally commit to the University of Tampa last month.
