Continue ReadingNo matter the platform, always remember to get in where you fit in, I can’t say that enough but always remember I’m an expert at this and no one knows anything of relevance more than I do so with the Kick-Off kicking off and running, to say I was pleased would be an understatement
Olivia Fauntleroy-6’3 PF/C (Throckmorton HS) West Texas Shockers 2024 [2024]
Fauntleroy is “long and athletic” and that’s one of the bases I use in my profiles for players, so what does she add? Her timing is nice, she’s alert and moves well to block, alter and deflect shots yet her wingspan in itself gives offensive players something to think about but she also does a good job finishing around the basket with some nifty moves not to leave out she rebounds on both ends and runs the floor, on both ends
Addison Mootry Addison Mootry 5'5" | CG Inola | 2024 State OK -5’5 PG (Inola HS) Team Griffin Elite 2024 Owens [2024]
Mootry had me take a second look when she passed by me at the other venue and I asked her “are you #12” she smiled and said yet because let me tell you, I’m a visual person and when I take pictures like magic things pop into my head so I remembered a sequence of her creating her shot and pulling up to drain a jumper, then turn turnaround and get a steal and drop the “stop and pop” in transition yet her passes definitely made my day
Kyra Allison Kyra Allison 5'9" | SF Ponca City | 2024 State OK -5’8 G (Ponca City HS) Supreme Trotters 2024 [2024]
Allison does several things I love to see but “playing the passing lane” is right there at the top, so is “going after everything off the rim” and both of those get the #THROWBACK hashtag because you can’t teach desire and observing her go coast to coast after playing that passing lane or just coming with steals was once, even nicer was her finishes but she also understands how to create her shot in the set under pressure, a deceptive first step enables her to get wherever she wants
Tristyn Krikes-5’8 G ( Leflore HS) Oklahoma Aces 2024 Vick [2024]
Krikes had me going YIKES when she had the ball, first of all, she showed one of the best “stepbacks” at the event and more importantly, she knocked the shots down yet I’m partial to guards that handle the ball under pressure and see the floor and that combination of what I’ve already mentioned will make her someone be aware of because she’s athletic and can attack the basket off the dribble with either hand, plus she finishes strongly
Lauren Hull-5’8 G (MS) Showcase Elite 2024 [2027]
Hull has SWB by her name, speed with the ball, and not paying attention to what class she was in during the event, I’m even more impressed with what she did playing up as she is definitely on track for big things. She has quick hands, she can drop the jumper with a hand in her face, she scores off the dribble and she sees the floor yet let me drop the mic and close with this, she plays the passing lane
