The energy and passion Bettis plays with has been apparent in multiple online viewings and in person over the summer. She has a non stop motor and good quickness/athleticism to match. Hard nose play as a defender and excelling in her any role she’s slotted into. She’ll be closing out her high school career at Victory Christian, which should see her shoulder more of the scoring load. Has started to pick up next level opportunities from various levels of small colleges.

It looked like the 918 was shaping up for a big game on Saturday afternoon. Bettis opened her scoring with fancy footwork on a nasty “pump fake, up and under” score. Soon after, she smoothly buried a catch and shoot three. Unfortunately her afternoon was cut short on a drive where a collision left her with a head injury. Hopefully the energetic and quick guard is able to make a quick recovery and continue to trend upwards this July.

Brooke is a point guard that has a great understanding of spacing when running the offense for her team. Great shooter from the 3pt area that shoots at a high percentage. A good shooter off the bounce when using a ball screen. Vision off the dribble hitting the back door cutting teammate on the layup. The best offense aspect of the game that got my attention is she does an excellent job in the drive and kick game. Several schools have noticed as several offers have started to come in

Game Watched: Team Griffin Aeschleman vs HYD 2025
It wasn’t Bettis’ best game as a shooter, but she still showed a variety of ways she can impact winning. The speedy guard routinely was able to pressure the defense with paint touches off transition pushes and in the halfcourt. Her crossover in particular was effective at getting by defenders. On those drives she set up teammates well with assists, including one great placement pass to a taller teammate, that led to no wasted motion for her teammate to score easily. Her energetic and athletic play also saw her grab a fair amount of rebounds for a smaller guard.

A non stop bundle of energy for the Lady Redhawks, the notes from Bettis after the game was filled with her defensive impact. There was the customary all action notes of an feisty guard, with fighting through screens and pressuring ball handlers. And there was even a steal recorded when she was switched onto a big, which was a big sign of the grit and determination Bettis played with. The junior was a big quieter on the offensive end, but had displays of a good handle and hit an above the break three as well.

I’ve seen Brooke perform a few times recently at the I-35 and now here at the PGH Top-250 and both times I’ve come away very impressed with how much she has improved as a Point Guard. She is a supremely confident ball-handler who doesn’t get flustered by any double teams or traps. She is experienced and it shows in her confident play. Her calmness rubs off on her teammates, even in this temporary team setting, and it makes a huge difference for everyone involved. The fact that she is seeing the play two passes ahead in this “pick-up” game situation says a lot for her basketball IQ and I think she is poised for a massive high school season. She can shoot the three and do the other things that are asked of her, like defending, but where Brooke will really make her money is as a true number one. She is on a whole different level when it comes to running a team.

Brooke has flown under the radar for quite some time now but it isn’t surprising that her name is being brought up in more conversations, as of late. She made quite an impression at the I-35 Showcase in OKC & the I-35 Showcase in Wichita. — and, I expect she will be putting on a show at the Top 250, as well. It cannot and should not be overlooked that Brooke is an ideal facilitator for any team at the next level. Bettis can score and take over when necessary but her strongest assets are her court vision and the way she controls the floor. — the way she handles the ball under pressure is advanced and her intense defense will solidify Brooke as a true rising star in the class of 2025! I have watched Brooke’s game develop, progress and improve since middle school – and, she is undeniably a player that should be on college coaches radar!

Brooke is a player that is set for a monster junior season. She is a true floor general! Bettis is one of the better/accurate passing guards and her teammates will need to be ready at all times as she can manuever and manipulate the ball between the defense to drop a nice dime to her open teammates. — she gets the job done on offense but her defense is what sets her apart from a lot of the other guards in her class; she plays up close, reads the pass well and makes numerous stops with her aggressive (yet, controlled) approach. — the Redhawks are in good hands with Brooke leading the way!

Controls the pace of the game, distributes the ball well to teammates and dribbles with her head up. Made a few big plays for her team including a 3-point bucket to bring her team within 1 point with 00:04 seconds left in the game, Finished the game with 5 points
