We saw tremendous players from all over the country and there was not that much of a difference between those First Team performers announced yesterday and the players being honored today. Without further ado, here are the Second Team All-Tourney players from the PGH Dynasty Region KickOff in Dallas!
Kamyra Barber | 5-9 PG | Kansas Bluejays / Sunrise Christian | 2025 | @barber_kamyra
I still cannot get over this Kansas Bluejays squad. They were second in their pool in Dallas despite being the youngest group by a mile. They had one 2024 and everyone else is even younger. But hey, what better way to improve than to play up, right? Then again, when you score double-digits every game, maybe getting better is too scary a proposition for everyone else. Kamyra averaged almost 14 points per game over the weekend and showed off some tremendous moves to get to the rim. She has a great eurostep and can finish with both hands. She has a very high basketball IQ and is committed on the defensive end. I really can’t wait to see this squad play again. Barber is incredibly fun to watch!
Ella Campbell | 5-9 G/F | AAO Flight / Bentonville | 2023 | @ellahcampbell3
One of the flat-out best shooters in the building this weekend was Ella Campbell. Her long arms and high release on the three are almost unstoppable, not to mention she is just downright accurate with her shot. She works hard off the ball to get in a good shooting position and receives the ball well, ready to let it fly. Campbell can take her defender off the dribble as needed and finishes strong at the rim. A great all-around player, Ella had some huge games in Dallas; one over 20 points! On defense, she shows quick hands to pop the ball loose and good lateral movement to stay in front of her opponent. If she isn’t on your radar coaches, she needs to be!
Racie Decker | 5-9 G/F | West Texas Shockers / Seymour | 2023 | @05_racie
One of the most fun teams to watch all weekend was this West Texas Shockers squad. They only had five players and still came out of the weekend with three wins from four games. Racie leads the squad with natural scoring ability, a ton of heart, and a very high basketball IQ. With only five players on the floor and no bench, something also has to be said about her team’s ability to defend and not get in foul trouble. She can shoot the ball, but better than that is her ability to drive to the rim and finish. She has a nice “up-and-under” move that she uses to finish consistently at the rim and draws contact more often than not. The whole West Texas club moves the ball well and Racie is no exception. She shows great vision and puts nice zip on her passes.
Brooke Dial | 5-9 G/F | Lady Jets / Parish Episcopal | 2023 | @brookedial1
Brooke is a long and strong forward who scores in myriad ways for her Lady Jets squad. She is a great defender who has long arms, is bouncy, and reads the play well to come up with a lot of disrupted passes and blocked shots. She can stroke the three and makes it look almost effortless at times. She is a strong player with a body that can withstand the rigors of college basketball. Dial is going to be an incredible player at the next level and I am very proud to say that she and her Lady Jets squad are members of the PGH Circuit this season. I am very much looking forward to seeing more of them!
Katie Durbin | 5-9 F | Team Firstep / Meade County | 2023 | @KADURB23
She may be a little quiet or shy, but her game speaks volumes. Durbin is a three-level scorer who is bouncy and almost unblockable when she rises up to let it fly. Speaking of blocks, I saw her get a lot of those too. She is quick on the defensive end and comes flying out of nowhere with her long arms to swat all kinds of shots. Katie is a lot of fun to watch and her teammates clearly love playing with her. An unselfish player, she takes the right shot at the right time and helped lead Team Firstep to an undefeated weekend in Dallas. This squad – and Katie Durbin – are going to be some to watch out for as the Dynasty Region progresses this Spring!
Alyssa Nielsen | 5-11 PF | Team Griffin Elite / Bixby | 2023 | @AlyssaN2023
Until proven otherwise, we have to all continue to acknowledge that Team Griffin Elite is the best 17U team on the PGH Circuit. That being said, Alyssa is one of the best players on the best team and that means a whole lot. In my opinion, she has all the abilities of a Division-I post player. Her footwork down low is phenomenal. As I’ve written before, her Jordan-esque turnaround fadeaway is unmatched in Oklahoma girls basketball. She is a defensive stopper down low and has a motor that doesn’t quit. I’m not sure what else I could add to convince you, D-I coaches, to offer this player, but the PGH Circuit is here for you to check her out. If the numerous state tournaments and undefeated Dynasty Regions haven’t been plenty of opportunities, I don’t know what else you’re waiting for. She is a baller. Plain and simple.
