With high school basketball in the book for another season let’s take a look at some of the top talents within the state of North Dakota on the Class A side. All these names should sound familiar as they’ve been featured on prep hoops girls for several articles now. Let’s dive in!
[player_tooltip player_id="100419" first="Logan" last="Nissley"] – Century – (6’0/SF/2023) – #1 prospect in Class A for the class of 23’ and current D1 commit to Nebraska there’s little more that needs to be said about [player_tooltip player_id="100419" first="Logan" last="Nissley"]. She’s the complete package and has proven that through all of last year and this year. Nissley is so much more than just a scorer. She gets the job done on both ends of the court and leads by example for her teammates being willing to get on the floor for a lose ball, being able to take the tough shot in crutch times and being a leader on the court. Logan doesn’t know what it’s like to lose as she’s accumulated a high school record of 69-5 with 1 Class A title and will surely be hunting for number 2 next year.
[player_tooltip player_id="100420" first="Bergan" last="Kinnebrew"] – Century – (5’11/SG/2023) – Kinnebrew was such a delight watching play this year. She’s in my opinion the most improved player on this list and within all of Class A. She doubled her contribution to the Patriots in scoring and rebounding. She showed she had what it took to take clutch shots later in the game and pestered defensively with more aggression. Bergan’s character changed from last year from a role/sixth man off the bench to a leader this year. With the return of #1 prospect and teammate [player_tooltip player_id="100419" first="Logan" last="Nissley"] the duo will surely be hunting for redemption and the Class A title to be brought back to Century.
[player_tooltip player_id="99802" first="Adie" last="Wagner"] - Fargo South – (5’7/PG/2022) – Wagner surpassed 2,000 high school career points this year and signed at D2 power Minnesota State Moorhead. Wagner is a work horse and a 3 level scorer. She can get the job done anywhere on the court and will be a great addition to the Dragons next year with their run n gun play style. Adie lead the EDC for most of this year within the scoring column and was the scoring champion during the 20-21 season with 21.2 points a game.
[player_tooltip player_id="215744" first="Miriley" last="Simon"] – West Fargo – (6’1/C/2023) – A walking double/double and first Center on our list Simon is a beast in the low post. She averaged over 20 points and 12 rebounds this year being a dominant x factor for West Fargo. Miriley can stretch the floor with the best of the forwards being able to play the pick n roll game to a T with a slip action, roll or pop. Yes that’s right you heard me right. Not only is she a menace in the low post, but she can shoot the trey ball above 40%.
[player_tooltip player_id="238455" first="Anthonett" last="Nabwe"] – Jamestown – (5’10/SF/2022) – Nabwe is the perfect example of what a work horse is. She sprints everywhere on the court and doesn’t just look to score, even though she lead the Bluejays in that column. Annie is a rebounding monster and has her own gravitational poll that pulls in rebounds. She averaged a double-double for the second straight season off effort and sure will. She’s a great finisher around the rim and a problem on the defensive side. She’s a super athlete and future D1 Gopher commit for track.
