North Dakota Class B Prospects

Class A prospects in the EDC and WDA receive a lot of attention here at PGH Dakotas. We want to give our small school prospects some much needed attention as well. So, as I breakdown some film, I’ll be mentioning some Class B prospects that haven’t been mentioned, or not mentioned nearly enough. Let’s get to know some names and their games! [player_tooltip player_id="211389" first="Brenna" last="Stroklund"] <strong>- 6’0 F/C 2023 - Kenmare - </strong>As I’m working on the North Dakota 2023 rankings, you can expect Class B 2nd team All-Stater [player_tooltip player_id="211389" first="Brenna" last="Stroklund"] to rise in the rankings. The six-footer plays the 4/center position. A strong interior rebounder that can board and go with the ball in the open court. That’s what immediately stands out about her game. You can count on her being in the top 20-25 in the 2023 class. [player_tooltip player_id="100448" first="Rylen" last="Burgess"] <strong>- 5’9 G 2023 - Cavalier - </strong>Rylen is a very good guard that can score the ball, with a well-rounded offensive skill-set. If she’s open and sets up from three, it usually drops in for three points or is a near-miss. A quick release to her shot as well. A smooth, good-looking jumper and a good handle on the ball, with an overall feel for the game and game-flow. Will post-up and can score inside. Playing with FM Fierce 17U and ND Pro per their website this offseason. [player_tooltip player_id="243209" first="Eden" last="Carrier"] <strong>- 5’10 F/C 2023 - Cavalier - </strong>Eden is an underrated interior/forward in the 2023 class. Has some good length and athleticism to her. She can get off the ground and is a good rebounder for 5’10. If she gets her hands on the ball for a rebound, she’ll most likely come down with it -- with aggression. She comes down with a majority of her team's rebounds. Does her scoring in the paint and overall battles hard against her opponents, not afraid of contact. [player_tooltip player_id="415426" first="Kennison" last="Azure"] <strong>- 5’10 G/Wing 2025 - Hatton/Northwood - </strong>Kennison was missed in the 2025 rankings, but she’s more than worth a mention. A Freshman starting guard with good size as a 5’10 guard. A controlled game as a ball-handler and passer. Makes the "right" pass and doesn’t force too much. Kennison is already a high-level guard as a Freshman and is a college prospect. If she was thrusted into the 2025 rankings, she’s most likely conservatively in the top 12. Has the makings of a future All-State player. [player_tooltip player_id="100438" first="Kennedy" last="Harter"] <span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong>- 6’0 F/C 2023 - Kidder County - </strong>After watching more Kidder County film, I hadn’t realized how athletic and how elite of a mover Kennedy is. She moves effortlessly and can catch high speeds when she sprints the floor. She moves better than the guards. Has rare jumping ability and can get off the ground quickly. Makes a ton of steals and deflections in Kidder County's press when the ball is lobbed over over the first line of the defense. She's on-board with Missouri River Elite this off-season.</span> [player_tooltip player_id="415685" first="Taylor" last="Zimmerman"] <strong>- 5’6 PG 2026 - Kidder County - </strong>Taylor is one of the up-and-coming guards in North Dakota that will be mentioned quite frequently. A starter as an eighth-grader, she's a quick point guard with a big motor and big-time ball-skills. Skilled as a ball-handler and can make difficult passes look easy. You could say she's an elite passer. She hustles the court and plays at high speeds. She's also very lethal shooting the ball from three. Not a player you can leave open. Very disruptive and effective in the top of the Kidder County press and has the ability to all-out deny the inbounds pass. A great prospect to watch for college programs that like to press heavily.
