There are 140+ players included in this list, which means plenty of players from conferences and leagues across the state. With that being said, here are the top five players from the Shore Conference.
No. 21: Emma Thornton Emma Thornton 5'11" | C Barnegat | 2025 State NJ – 5-10 C, Barnegat
Thornton posted a double-double average as a freshman for Barnegat, quickly solidifying herself as one of the best young forwards in the conference. She’s easily turned into leader on this Barnegat team, not just through scoring and rebounding, but her defense as well. Averaging two steals a game, she already knows how to dissect defenses and put opponents on their heels. That sort of pressure caused massive amounts of turnovers in Barnegat’s favor.
No. 25: Gaby Parker Gaby Parker PG Freehold Township | 2025 State NJ – PG, Freehold Township
Parker is one of two Freehold Township prospects that rank in the top 40 of our list and for good reason. Starting with Parker, she’s shown out on multiple occasions this season that she can not only dominate in the lane, but can additionally shoot the three well. We know just how capable she can be as a spot-up scorer and a player in clutch moments. Progression for her will be the key to her success, maturing further into her role as the point guard for this program.
No. 31: Riley Nausedas Riley Nausedas 5'8" | PG Brick Township | 2025 State NJ – PG, Brick Township
Nausedas fills up the stat sheet well and is a multi-dimensional guard who can defend and score at will. Additionally, she shows potential both in the rebounding and passing departments, but right now, her two biggest strengths are her shooting and her perimeter defense. Nausedas knocked down 41 threes on the year and had over 2.5 steals a game. Those numbers as a freshman show a ready-now mentality but a glimpse of what she can become over time.
No. 34: Tessa Carman Tessa Carman 5'11" | PF Red Bank Catholic | 2025 State NJ – 5-11 PF, Red Bank Catholic
The younger sister and teammate of Emma Carman, Tessa possesses a lot of great skills as a forward and looks to be a player that can stretch the floor. Playing that stretch four role will help her become a better shooter, a better scorer and a more complete player overall. Looking at her size, she’s someone who has the potential to be a game-changer on the defensive side of the ball, so the more she’s able to utilize her size to her advantage, she’s got a starting spot locked down for the Caseys.
No. 37: Sophie Tonino Sophie Tonino 5'6" | SG Freehold Township | 2025 State NJ – 5-6 SG, Freehold Township
Tonino is a promising young shooting guard who is going to operate well of the play of teammate Gaby Parker Gaby Parker PG Freehold Township | 2025 State NJ . She’s gained a great deal of experience from this season and has a feel for how to operate off-ball and off her own dribble. Tonino has the feel of a catch-and-shoot type of player, but that doesn’t mean she’s unable to create on her own and score. We’re seeing plenty of promise from her in a number of different departments, which only spells future successes.
