The talk of college basketball is the transfer portal with over 1,000 women’s basketball players in the transfer portal with plans to change colleges. And while the transfer portal is very popular in the college game, the conversation on the travel ball circuit is that the original transfer portal started with summer ball teams. With the spring/summer travel ball season kicked off, we take a look at some members of the class of 2024 that are suiting up for new teams.

Bri Rivera (Hoop Dreams Elite to Essence)
Rivera moving to Essence Purple 17U EYBL is big news. Rivera led the entire 3SSB circuit in 3 point shooting and brings her deep range and high percentage shooting to Essence and the EYBL circuit this spring/summer. The class of 2024 guard is one of the top shooters in the state and will showcase it nationally this summer with her new squad.
[player_tooltip player_id="217664" first="Lexi" last="Blue"] (FGB to CFE)
Blue has been a staple for FGB for a long time and often one of the programs most highly promoted players. Having played high school ball for Lake Highland Prep the last two seasons, Blue makes the switch to Central Florida Elite Grant Hill 17U 3SSB and will play under her high school coach Al Honor.
[player_tooltip player_id="223784" first="Nicole" last="Carreno"] (Tampa Thunder/Hoop Dreams Elite to Central Florida Elite)
Carreno is a 5’11 guard/wing who is a member of the U16 Puerto Rican national team. She stepped up and played a major role for Seffner Christian this season. Her build, size, and strength make her extremely effective in the paint and around the rim. She is an effective shot blocker and is consistent on both the offensive and defensive glass!

[player_tooltip player_id="331745" first="Eris" last="Lester"] (KA Nightmares to Miami Suns)
At 5’11, Lester stands out in a crowd for her height and length. The young Sophomore is an extremely versatile player who made a tremendous impact for Orange Park HS this season, leading them to a 24-6 record while averaging 20.5 PPG and 8.3 RPG.

[player_tooltip player_id="221705" first="Laketrice" last="Peterson"] (GT Queens to Team Knight)
Peterson is a big, strong interior player with a solid lower base. She is hard to move in the paint both when she gets touches in the paint as well as when she is persistent in the paint. She made the move to Team Knight, playing along side her High School teammates from Blanche Ely.
