McKenzie Smith McKenzie Smith 5'11" | SF Amarillo | 2023 State TX (Lady Jets 2023 3SSB) [2023]
Smith will definitely be upgraded on my next update because she “JUST DID IT” and I often tell people a lot of different things that go completely over their heads, what she brings to the table you can’t teach, and that energy on both ends just grabbed me. She plays the passing lane, she’s long and athletic yet when she posted the defender up and hit the turnaround jumper off the glass, that dropped the mic for me. Solid pull-up jumper, finishes strongly after contact and she rebounds on both ends, but those UPS …
Tiani Ellison Tiani Ellison 6'1" | C Silo | 2023 State OK -6’0 F (Silo HS OK) Team Trae Young 2023 [2023]
Ellison went completely off over both days, Saturday, I was taking pictures on the baseline and she block a shot so hard that it scared me, because it just missed my face, so her being long and let me add ULTRA to her athletic, just creates problems on both ends of the court. She plays the passing lane and can handle the ball in the open court so that’s usually baskets going the other way, her first step in the set gets her baskets, either attacking and finishing or showing the pull-up jumper yet let me also point out “she battles for everything off the rim” and her putbacks after contact are pluses as well
Alyssa Nielsen Alyssa Nielsen 6'0" | PF Bixby | 2023 State OK -6’0 SF ( Bixby HS OK) Team Griffin Elite 2023 Wernli [2023]
Nielsen ratings shot through the roof over the weekend as no matter what time she played, she was a hit, many won’t catch that but she caught everything and not only did she catch, she added “and shoot’ as she was virtually unstoppable every time I looked up. She has a turnaround jumper, she creates her shot from midrange and nails it, she showed she could drop the long ball and her nice footwork around the basket got her some buckets as well
Aziah Ferrier-6’1 PF ( Mount Pleasant HS) Team Lady Hoopsters [2025]
Ferrier should have been added to the Freshmen Watchlist after seeing her play before she entered high school yet for some reason, the info didn’t transfer from the spreadsheet but guess what, that’s a correctible error and I didn’t realize it was her because she grew probably 4 inches. She’s long and athletic with some pretty good timing to block shots, she alters and deflects them also but her playing the passing lane was something I love to see, and so was her effort inside the paint on both ends to rebound, scored nicely on putbacks but her scoring period was nice as she has the “hands and footwork ” things down as well as the pull-up jumper
Jazmine Hansley-5’4 CG ( Dickinson HS) Houston Queens Elite 2023 [2025]
Hansley has elevated her game and I was tempted to put her on the Gamechangers Tip Sheet yet her complete game not only changed the momentum throughout the event, but she also took over when she had to. She handles the ball under pressure, she has SBH, the speed with the ball, and she sees the floor so in transition, just run the floor with her. Solid mid to long-range jumper, scores off the dribble, and she too plays the passing lane
