We’re back with the 2025 class and the combo guards in the class. Right now, there are 21 listen combo guards, and we’re here to give you some to keep a close eye on.
No. 15 Molly Brown Molly Brown CG McNair | 2025 NJ – McNair
Brown is exactly the type of shot-creator and quick-thinker that every team needs on their roster. It starts simple with her scoring ability, which right now is really far along. She’s showing a lot of maturity as a guard and is able to create in a lot of different ways. Brown can drive to the basket, shoot from the outside, or draw contact and head to the foul line. She can beat you in a number of ways, which is exciting for the future to see just what she’ll be able to do.
No. 16: Caitlin O’Malley Caitlin O’Malley CG Veritas Christian | 2025 State NJ – Sussex Tech
O’Malley has a lot of potential as a more defensive guard, showing her raw talent on defensive end and her aggression on the boards. Her rebounding and passing have shown to be quite effective and with time, she’ll become more of a triple-double threat. It’s that defense though, the lock-down post-ups on the perimeter or being able to switch down low to make a play, that really have opened our eyes on O’Malley.
No. 36: Kennedy Henry Kennedy Henry 6'1" | CG Blair | 2025 State NJ – Blair
The benefits of playing in a great program like Blair are most definitely to Henry’s favor as she develops over her high school career. Henry has incredible range for a freshman and is one of the top shooters already on the team. She’s able to generate offense both on and off the dribble, which shows us that she’s a multi-faceted playmaker. Henry doesn’t force up shots, but also doesn’t let an open opportunity go to waste. Her bread and butter is the catch-and-shoot, which she’s executed so well in her freshman year.
No. 46: Angela Gatto Angela Gatto CG Dayton | 2025 NJ – Dayton
Gatto is an interesting player as she’s not one who generates as much offense from beyond the arc as she does driving into the lane. While she sparingly showed her outside stroke, what stands out the most with her is her defense and her steals per game as a freshman jump off the board drastically. When you’re recording 5.6 steals a game, something is going right and that is her court awareness and agility on the floor. She plays hard and lets no possession on the defensive end come easy for her opponents. Her ability to clamp on opposing guards is just astounding.
No. 39: Mikayla Taylor Mikayla Taylor 5'8" | CG Westampton Tech | 2025 State NJ – 5-8, Westhampton Tech
Taylor is another player who isn’t as much of a three-point shooter as she is an interior threat with the ability to put up a double-double and make things happen in the lane. Talk about one of the best dribble-driving abilities we’ve seen out of the 2025 class, Taylor is showing signs of a future elite guard. We would like to see a bit more three-point shooting, and her rebounding will come in due time as well. Additionally, if she can add a few more assists per game, maybe 2-3, that opens the floor up so much more for her.
