Here are some of the players who it seemed like every time I looked up, were making big plays and doing things that changed the momentum [player_tooltip player_id="395744" first="Brandolyn" last="Freeman"] (Houston Queens Elite 2023) as well as [player_tooltip player_id="417979" first="DaNae" last="Crosby"] (Team Stay Read) were already mentioned in previous articles, they fit here as well
[player_tooltip player_id="395746" first="Jayden" last="Smallwood"]-5’8 CG (McKinney North HS) Mid-Cities Smoke 2023 [2022]
Smallwood has that "takeover a game" in the clutch mindset, well she actually does it whether dropping the jumper, finishing off the dribble, or the big steal, she makes things happen on both ends, good things
Chaniyah Price-5’6 CG (Klein Collins HS) STP Elite 2023
Price Is Right on IT and that’s both ends of the court as she applies pressure and helps to force turnovers, yea she also plays the passing lane and she scored both off the dribble and using the jumper
[player_tooltip player_id="391179" first="Lila" last="Ashida"]-5’9 SG/SF (Las Cruces HS) New Mexico Select 2023
Ashida ASTOUNDS me because whether it’s the big assist, the big rebound, or even the big jumper, she makes big plays look easy. Yes, she made the Top Sheet a few weeks ago on opening day and she can open games up with her jumper
[player_tooltip player_id="421466" first="Jewel" last="Brandley"]-6’1 SF (Dickinson HS) Houston Queens Elite 2023
Brandley plays one way, and she also falls into that "never takes a play off" category yet her timing, she had numerous blocks, and her rebounding always comes in handy and creates a spark, so do her finishes around the basket, yes after contact
Ashlynn Galvin-5’6 CG (Jim Ned HS) Texas Platinum 2023 Bates
Galvin was exciting because she is EXPLOSIVE off the dribble and once she gets by the defender, she makes things happen because she sees the floor and hits teammates on the money yet her mid to long-range is also nice
Amina Dkibrine- 6’0 PF ( The Village School) TNBA Houston 2023
Dkibrine goes after everything off the rim yet she also dives on the floor for loose balls and takes charges but she also finished strongly after contact. Let me not leave out "she played the passing lane"
[player_tooltip player_id="197969" first="Kalayia" last="Johnson"]-5’9 SG/SF (Holland Hall HS) Team Griffin Elite 2023 Wernli
Johnson makes things happen and she’s on a team full of shooters yet she’s like the glue that adds bits and pieces like seeing the floor, big rebounds, or even bigger defensive stops yet she also attacks strongly and finishes just as strong
[player_tooltip player_id="96129" first="Crislyn" last="Rose"]-5’6 CG (Sasche HS) Lady Jets Elite 2023 3SSB
Rose wins the GAMECHANGER award as she came in, the team down almost double-digits, and voila, her energy trickled down and got the ball rolling, well it also got baskets but she overpowers opposing guards to score off the dribble or defend on the flip
Tori Kilburn-5’10 SG/SF (Pitsburg HS) G.O.C. 2024 [2025]
Kilburn always does things to impress me, yeah she is a shade or two under "the magic number" and college coaches love big guards that can shoot and that she can yet other than mid to very long-range, she scored off the dribble and came up with some great defensive stops
