Peach Games Day 2: 17U Frontcourt Standouts Pt. 1
2022 5-11 W Camerah Langston – FBC Legacy USA – Westlake
It’s hard to believe Camerah Langston is still available. She’s a versatile wing that can also serve as a stretch-four. She has a very good jumper with an accurate three-point shot. Langston is a physical rebounder and uses her strength on drives to the basket and putbacks. She’s a mismatch with her size and shooting touch. Camerah takes smaller defenders into the post and has a tough turnaround jumper to shoot overtop. She filed in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 6 steals against Team Huncho. Langston could be a very good get at the D-II level.
2022 5-10 W [player_tooltip player_id="153163" first="Tylia" last="Kemp"] – FBC Legacy USA – Grayson
Another valuable unsigned senior, [player_tooltip player_id="153163" first="Tylia" last="Kemp"] is a 3&D at the next level. She plays a physical brand of basketball, showcased on hard baseline drives, rebounds and when she sacrifices her body to draw charges. Kemp excels from the corners with her three-point shot. She’s the perfect fit in an offense that likes to drive and kick. Tylia’s most impressive offensive move came on a downhill drive which featured multiple crossovers and a difficult lefthand finish. She finished with 14 points in Game 1 on Saturday.
2023 5-9 W [player_tooltip player_id="386398" first="Kiara" last="Turner"] – D. Shine Lady Grinders – Laney
Turner has nice size and an aggressive mindset. She is a confident mid-range shooter with a high release. Kiara is a capable defender that can guard on the perimeter and in the post with her length and quality strength. She had 17 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 2 blocks in a win over Bounce Nation Meg.
2023 6-1 C [player_tooltip player_id="335917" first="Ja’Siiyah" last="Holmes"] – D. Shine Lady Grinders – Cross Creek
Still coming into her own, [player_tooltip player_id="335917" first="Ja’Siiyah" last="Holmes"] was huge down the stretch for the Lady Grinders, picking up 11 points, 14 rebounds, 1 assist and 4 blocks. Holmes has great size and length. She’s a mobile post that can run the floor. She does a nice job finishing dump offs and had a pretty step through on the low block converting with her left hand. Holmes isn’t going to have the offense ran through her at Cross Creek, but she will be an integral piece anchoring the back line of the Razorbacks defense. She’s a late bloomer to keep an eye on.
2023 5-11 F Alison Hiddema – North GA Magic – East Forsyth
Quickly becoming a favorite of mine, Alison Hiddema brings it every time she steps on the floor. She’s a combo-forward that spends a lot of time on the wing. She is a physical attacker off the dribble and a knockdown three-point shooter when left open. She drained 3 threes and finished with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocks. Alison identifies mismatches and exploits them. When she has a smaller defender on her, she takes them into the post. When a big checks her, that is when she can space the floor and do damage on the perimeter.
