There was a lot of high level talent this season on display in the MIAA. Here is part 2 of players who stood out this past season. [player_tooltip player_id="184057" first="Katie" last="Peterson"], Franklin, Position F, Class 2023 HT 6’1 Katie had a standout season for Franklin. She averaged 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals a game. Katie is a very versatile player, that can impact the game in many ways. Katie is a very good athlete, and also a standout lacrosse player. Katie can run the floor, play an up tempo pace, and finishes well at the rim. Katie does a little bit of everything. She can be a slasher on the wing, shoots the ball well, and can attack off the dribble. Katie can also be a post player, and has a good array of post moves around the rim. The combination of athleticism, size and her skill set made Katie a notable player from this past season. [player_tooltip player_id="184043" first="Kellyn" last="Preira"], ST Marry’s, Position F, Class 2023 Kellyn helped lead ST Marry’s to the division three state championship title. Kellyn had the game winning block as time expired to help secure the win. She finished the season with over 85 blocks, and averaged 14.5 points, and 6 rebounds per game. Kellyn was very efficient, scoring on a high percentage from the field. Kellyn has a good inside out game, and was a force on defense this season. [player_tooltip player_id="270726" first="Ava" last="Orlando"], Norte Dame Academy, Position PG, Class 2025 As a freshman on varsity, Ava made an impact right away. The point guard put up big numbers this season, averaging 20 points, 6 assists, and 6 steals. She fit right into the high school basketball scene. She is a sharp shooter, who had over 50 three pointers on the season. Ava can run the offense, and makes players around her better. As just a freshman she already showed her leadership role on the team. Ava is a high level point guard in her class in Massachusetts, and should continue to get better in the next three seasons. [player_tooltip player_id="184020" first="Grace" last="Oliver"], Norwell, Position F, Class 2023, HT 6’1 Grace was a double double machine this past season, averaging 20 points, and 12 rebounds. She has now scored over one thousand career points. Grace reclassified to 2024, and transferred to Nobels Greenough. One game this past season grace had a monster stat line of 34 points, 23 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals, and 3 blocks. Grace has a very versatile skill set, and can stretch the floor. She can play the positions of point guard through center. She can attack off the dribble, shoot the ball at a high level, and is a dominate force in the post, and on the boards. Every rebound just seems to find her way. Grave can just take over the game on both ends of the floor. Grace was a dominate force all season, and asserted herself as a top prospect in her class in New England. Grace is a must see player, who has the game to play at the division 1 college level.
