Stars – Grinnell Tigers
#7 Haidyn Hull Haidyn Hull 5'9" | SG Grinnell | 2023 State IA 17 Points – Hull struggled early to find her rhythm. Most of the group Haidyn has played with forever is graduated and gone. She played well in the second half when she started getting aggressive and not settling for her three-point shot. Hull is a shooter who will have to round out her game for this young Grinnell group to win games. A very capable player. I’m excited to see how she grows this summer and her senior year.
#1 Bailey Strovers 12 Points – Bailey is a raw long hybrid-type player who can handle the ball if called on. She is a great aggressive defender who gets a lot of turnovers with her length. She looks to get on the court this season for school ball and make an impact on the tigers. Effective long stretch 3 in college with more work she could be a special player.
Mercury – Montezuma Braves
#21 Madison Johannes 10 Points – Johannes showed a very impressive three-point range. Madison’s game is growing, Smart guard who defends well and can shoot the ball from three with great accuracy.
#25 Jadyn Sharer 14 Points – Jadyn is solid and a highly capable scorer. She gets open because Monte has so many deep ball threats. Flashy handles and strong defensive guard.
#79 Joslyn Terpstra 16 Points – The soccer star is a very strong guard. A high motor guard who is a pest on defense with her long reach. Get’s the ball and finishes well or makes the right pass.
Sparks – Pella
#60 Abby Warner 17 Points – Abby really impressed me with her toughness. Strong takes to the rim and her deadly jumper. Just as sharp on the defensive side and plays hard both ways all game.
#62 Kennedy Van Vark Kennedy Van Vark 5'5" | PG Pella | 2024 IA 15 Points – The younger Van Vark on the squad. Kennedy was consistent and tough to guard. mixed in with her sister Pella has a lot of size to work with on this team.
Lynx – Knoxville
#17 Hannah Dunkin 17 Points – Hard-nosed sophomore who will be a growing player for this group, Knoxville plays hard and is very young with only one senior in the group.
Liberty – Pella
#53 – Kelsey Tauke – 11 Points -Tauke was slicing and dicing the fullcourt pressure all game. A very shifty long guard who is only going to be a sophomore. High basketball IQ and court vision, Amazing shot blocker and uses her length well all over the court.
#57 Margaret Thompson – 11 Points – Thompson was all over the court grabbing boards and altering shots all game, Great young big with a lot of growth potential. Might get lost in the school ball rotation with all of Pella’s size.
Dream – North Mahaska
#35 Breckyn Schilling Breckyn Schilling 5'11" | SF North Mahaska | 2025 State IA – 6 Points – Breckyn isn’t used to playing without her sister and it showed. The only capable guard on a young team. Shilling will have to learn how to run her team without sister.
#32 Regan Grewe – 7 Points – The sophomore helped as much as she could in a group learning how to play together. Look for Regan to settle in once they work more as a team.
Suns – Ottumwa
#46 Nellie Morgan 8 Points – Nellie fought tough the whole game and she’s only a sophomore. A strong long guard who can hit the three when open,
#40 Camdyn Crouse 6 Points – Crouse had a few buckets in the losing effort but showed a lot of grit when down most of the game.
