. We highlighted Schilling yesterday for the possible game she could have. Well she came out and did a good job of setting the tone early-on for the evening. Schilling, a 5’11 CG, is truly a mismatch in most situations out on the high school compared to her competition. Against the Eagles, they did have size to match her but it really only slowed her down slightly. When the final buzzer sounded, Schilling had a cool 14 points (5-16), 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals. In a Playoff battle like this one, each one of these stats creates a little bit of separation throughout the duration of a game and that’s how they pulled away after the first quarter.

Pella Christian is going to go on the road and take on North Mahaska on Tuesday night in the biggest game of the season for each program. The leader that I’m expecting to take over for NM is going to be

. Schilling, a D2 commit to Western Colorado, is a mismatch nightmare for most that she faces and that’s going to be no different in this one. Pella Christian has solid prospects of their own so it’ll be intriguing to see who steps up the most in this battle. Either way, expect a big showing out of Schilling from all over the court.

North Mahaska High School Varsity program doesn’t get the viewers that they should for the talent level they possess. Over the past few seasons, this program has had D2 commit –

and she is locked in on having a Senior season to look back on. Schilling is a 5’11 SF/CG, that really does everything for her squad and that was obvious in their team’s monumental victory on Tuesday evening over Montezuma. She led her team in scoring, she grabbed a few boards, and she dished out 8 Assists to the others around her for easy buckets. At the next level, Schilling is going to move around the 3 and 4 spot for her Western Colorado team. If she can work within their system early and show her coaching staff that she means business, she might be someone that see’s the floor, sooner rather than later once on campus.

of North Mahaska High School has been a highly ranked and sought after prospect out of Iowa ever since she was a Freshman on the Varsity floor. This past week, Schilling took a trip out West and ended up finalizing her commitment to D2 – Western Colorado following her high school career. This is a solid pick up and relationship for both parties from an outside point-of-view. As a player, Schilling has length, athleticism, a solid skill set, and she has knowledge in the aspects of the X’s and O’s of the game. As long as she can get on campus and continue to work relentlessly, she should be seeing the collegiate floor before you know it but only time will tell.

of North Mahaska High School will make her college decision in the month of August as to where she will be competing after her high school career but she is still not sure where that may be yet just. Schilling has had interest from the D2 and Low D1 level these past six months as she has taken visits to elite camps and figured out the environment that she would like to be in the most from a campus perspective. She could end up anywhere but wherever it may be, she is going to killed it once she is locked in more-so on one thing in her day-to-day life.

and her 17U EYCL

team. Schilling is an undiscovered talent in this state. She plays for a smaller high school program and she usually dominates in every game they play. So much so that at times she won’t even play the second half of a Varsity contest because of how much her team is up. Schilling has been somewhat “under-used” in my opinion so far with this group. They obviously have their players that have been in the program for a long time but if you use Schilling correctly, she is going to shine. No matter how you put it. She is going to be a STEAL out of the 2025 Class in Iowa. All it’s going to take is her to get a chance with someone who supports her. If she has that, she could even be better than expected in the future.

Schilling is one of Iowa’s best kept secrets. She competes with a smaller high school out of Iowa, leading to not a lot of eye’s being on her throughout the Winter season. This past year, Schilling heard from several D1 programs but they all said the same thing, “We will be back to see you during the AAU season.” Respectfully, these collegiate programs want to see how she does on a team that plays tougher competition and how she does when she has other talented prospects around her. Something that is completely fair for the given situation. I have a feeling Schilling is going to shine this Spring/Summer season with her EYCL team. They are a stacked group, that can play off of each other. If they can really show what they can do as a whole, everyone will shine.

is another prospect out of the State of Iowa that has some real promise on the hardwood and I think that during this AAU season, that’s going to be on full display for everyone to watch first hand. Schilling has size, athletism, and the ability to produce on both sides of the floor almost every possession. On her high school team, she is their engine. They go wherever she goes and that’s a fact. Whenever her North Mashaka team did well this past Winter, Schilling had an impressive game. Whenever they struggled, it was usually because she was having an off night or she was being triple teamed. This AAU season Schilling is going to join up with the powerhouse that is the
All Iowa Attack
program. If she can make the most out of her opportunities over these next few months, she is going to be a hot commodity throughout the state. She is already sitting with a D2 offer, along with a ton of D1 interest. As long as she takes care of business, she is going to shine this Spring on several different levels. There is no doubt about that.

. Schilling is the “do-it all” player that does whatever is necessary to win the contest in which she is playing. Over the past two years, I’ve seen Schilling on several different types of floors such as AAU, High School, College Elite camps. Each time I see her, she is putting up productive numbers, while handling the matchup across from her a majority of time. Going into this winter season, Schilling was offered by D2-Western Colorado to continue on her career after high school. She hasn’t committed or anything but I’m assuming at this point, that is a good possibility as to where she might end up. We still have a year + until she needs to make that decision so absolutely anything can happen. If I were a school around the Midwest, I would definitely consider taking a look here while the opportunity presents itself. If not, before you know it she will already be committed.

lands onto this Third Team All State list for a few reasons. The first being that she is an effective player, who knows the game of basketball and displays superior athleticism compared to the athletes on the court around her. The next reason being that she played every position for her
Iowa Intensity
17U team, 1-5, for the entire year and put up some great individual numbers. Schilling is a natural small forward with her size but because of her teams youth presence and not having a ton of game experience, she would consistently have to move to the point guard position and bring up the basketball. It would be tough for me to find another player out of the state of Iowa, who had to be more versatile then Schilling did for this spring/summer AAU season. She did everything she could out there and left it all on the court. Not much more you can ask from a player.
