Day one at Hoop Group's Live in New England Tournament had many impressive performances by wings and bigs. Below are some of my favorite frontcourt prospects from last week.

My favorite Day 1 performance came from Beberman, who showed her versatility and impact at every position. She was the primary ball handler for parts of the game, played on the wing, and displayed her skill down low. I thought her passing was top-tier. She was hitting her teammates in stride, and Beberman's post-entry passes were textbook. I also thought her craftiness and creativity when driving were also apparent. Beberman converted, tough finishes and had her fingerprints on every aspect of the game.

Breen continues to be New England's most dominant '25 big and the most efficient finisher by far. On the block, there was no answer for Breen, and she destroyed the opposition around the basket. She is extremely disciplined offensively. Although Breen can knock down three-pointers, she will play on the block all game long and not settle on the perimeter.

I like Dotsey's energy and motor. She goes full speed up, beats her opponent up the floor, and is a good scorer in transition. Dotsey is a stretch big who you have to respect beyond the three-point line, and she has the slashing ability to take her defender off the dribble. Dotsey is a springy athlete and can be a force inside by cleaning up the glass.

The high motor forward was hard to keep up with last week. Dudley did everything with purpose and at full speed; she was a terror underneath the basket. The power and explosiveness on the block and her rim runs that led to transition baskets were enough to be one of my favorite players of the day. Dudley is also skilled on the perimeter and showed the quickness to exploit mismatches and score on slower bigs.

[player_tooltip player_id='468413' first='Delaney' last='Cusack']|Premier Basketball|6'2''|PF|'23

Cusack's size intimidated the opposition, and she patrolled the paint as well as anyone I saw the first day. She was mobile, showed good instincts, and timed her jumps well when altering shots. I also liked Cusack's willingness to outwork the competition; she consistently put pressure on the defense by running the floor hard.

[player_tooltip player_id='347922' first='Sanaa' last='Slayman']|Shooting Touch|5'9''|SF|'24

Photo: JT Shotz

Slayman is undersized but has the athleticism, footwork, and toughness to be an impactful combo forward. Her post defense stood out to me the most at Mohegan Sun. She was physical, didn't give up post position easily, and got a handful of deflections on entry passes. Slayman was outworking everyone inside and sprinting the court on offense and defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='468414' first='Ariana' last='Kupi']|Lady Ratz Elite|5'11''|SF|'23

Photo: Meredith Ryan

Kupi gave her team a little bit of everything and impacted the game in various ways. What got my attention was how aggressive she was on both sides of the glass. Her box-outs were physical, and she secured second chance opportunities. Defensively, Kupi closes out under control, contests every shot, and can switch out to defend multiple positions. She is also a stretch forward with a smooth three-point shot that she knocks down on a consistent basis.
