We've already gotten our previews started for No Boyz Allowed, the premier summer/fall girls basketball league in New Jersey and for good reason. This 10th edition of the event begins in roughly two weeks, which gives us plenty of time to tell you who to watch out for. After talking about some of the players, let's give an in-depth look at some of the teams participating.

Paul VI

The Eagles head north to join in this year's event and they most definitely will grab the headlines, especially with the nationally ranked 2023 standout, [player_tooltip player_id='134645' first='Hannah' last='Hidalgo']. We should also add FIBA World Cup winner to that after being selected to Team USA this summer. However, there are more players to add to the mix other than just Hidalgo. Juniors [player_tooltip player_id='325212' first='Eva' last='Andrews'] and Shariah Baynes provide a combination of three-point shooting, scoring, defense and more. Andrews returns as the best perimeter shooter and shot-blocker on the team. [player_tooltip player_id='414234' first='Azanah' last='Campbell'] hopes to follow up a great freshman year with more growth and consistency as a sophomore, especially on defense. Fellow senior Mikayla Young rounds out the expected starting five as she looks to take over Sara McShea's role as the new starting forward.

Westfield

State champions has a nice ring to it, but back-to-back state champions will sound even nicer if the Blue Devils are able to repeat the feat this upcoming season. They'll be losing two massive pieces in Grace Klag and Chloe Kreusser, but helping to fill in that production gap this season will be seniors Sutton Factor and Paige Gorczyca. Both can shoot from deep, both can shot-block well, both are great overall defenders and both can crash the glass for rebounds. Factor is an intriguing prospect in that her passing is amongst the best in the state and she's someone who could be a triple-double machine as a senior. Let's not leave out the leader of this team, senior [player_tooltip player_id='321573' first='Annie' last='Ryan'], the best three-point shooter last season and this season's best returning shot-blocker. Junior Sara Rooney and sophomore Carey Caraynnopoulos will be fighting for starting spots and should round out a fantastic top half of this team.

Ewing

From one Blue Devils roster over to another one, we move to Ewing, a strong contender to be the best team in New Jersey. Their three-headed monster of [player_tooltip player_id='325184' first='Joi' last='Johnson'], [player_tooltip player_id='325195' first='Rhian' last='Stokes'] and [player_tooltip player_id='406940' first='Te'Yala' last='Delfosse'] is exactly why. All three averaged around 15 PPG or better, Johnson and Delfosse were rebounding and shot-blocking machines, Stokes averaged better than six assists a game and around seven assists a game, etc. I mean, what else is there to say about the best trio in New Jersey. Hiding under them include a cast of younger players like sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='414302' first='Mekyla' last='Durham'] and junior Shawnae Biggs, both of whom have shown incredible defensive upside with the ability to score on the other end of the floor. While Johnson, Stokes and Delfosse will be providing the majority of the production for this team, Ewing has a deep roster that can take on anyone in New Jersey.

Saint John Vianney

The champs are here and want to be here to stay for as long as they can. SJV has been the class of New Jersey and one of the best teams in the country in recent memory, carrying long winning streaks and absolutely dominating the competition. While Madison St. Rose is gone, the torch has been passed down to superstar senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='134644' first='Zoe' last='Brooks']. Brooks leads a very balanced roster of players that's both unselfish and well in-sync. Fellow senior guards Bre Delaney and Janie Bachmann have provided consistency in shooting, passing and defense, while Bachmann has really adapted well on defense, hauling in rebounds and blocking shots. You have the senior forward duo of [player_tooltip player_id='134755' first='Mikaela' last='Hubbard'] and Ashley Sofilkanich, who combined for nearly 40 blocks, 200 rebounds and 30 steals last season. All four of those players will step into bigger roles in their final high school year. Sharp-shooter [player_tooltip player_id='325217' first='Julia' last='Karpell'] will see the floor plenty and should once again be as advertised beyond the arc. For as good as other programs are getting, it's still SJV v Everyone for now until further notice.
