The class of 2024 has some really good talent. Even with the rankings list being published recently, there are some players that are flying under the radar and being slept on. Let’s take a look at some sleepers from the 2024 rankings.
[player_tooltip player_id="305324" first="Kiaya" last="Davis"] | 5’8 | Combo Guard | LR Central
Flat out scorer. Kiaya can get a bucket several different ways. She’s tough to contain off the bounce, crafty with her finishes, can shoot the three-ball and is tough in transition. Talented enough to play at the next level, she’s definitely a player coaches should be on.
[player_tooltip player_id="305320" first="Aven" last="Sasser"] | 6’1 | Post/Forward | LR Central
Aven is listed as a post/center, but she is developing into a nice wing player. Her length makes her versatile enough to guard a number of positions and her athleticism gives her several advantages on the offensive end. College coaches should love her potential and skill set at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="420389" first="Jenna" last="Cook"] | 5’6 | PG | Cabot
You can describe Jenna as a playmaker, shooter, or scorer. She has a nice skill set that sets her a part from other players that play her position. Nice handle, can make big shots when her team needs it, not afraid to d-up, and has a nice motor. College coaches should be looking at Jenna to run their team.
[player_tooltip player_id="307197" first="AbbiGrace" last="Cunningham"] | 6’1 | Post | Atkins
AbbiGrace is one of the most skilled post players in the state. She can handle the ball and make plays, rebounds, can make shots, has a soft touch around the rim, and is going to play hard. At 6’1 this versatile big will be a nice addition to any college program.
[player_tooltip player_id="306144" first="Marleigh" last="Sellars"] | PG | Salem
When you think about small schools you sometimes don’t give them the credit they deserve. Marleigh is a very skilled player that has a great motor and attacking mentality. She can get to the rim off the dribble, shoot the three, dangerous in transition, and plays hard. This point guard definitely needs more attention for the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="403854" first="Kiki" last="Williamson"] | 6’0 | Post/Forward | Mayflower
Kiki is not the traditional post player. She can play with her back to basket, but she is also deadly from the perimeter. Her ability to make the three-pointer pulls the opposing post player away from the basket. Kiki can also put the ball on the floor, make plays for her teammates, finish at the rim and is a good help defender. Her skill set will make a easy transition at the next level.
