These ladies really were turning heads every time they were in the gym! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='331922' first='Charis' last='Phoenix']</strong> 2023 5'8 Jordan High School, TX ([program_tooltip program_id='713185' first='Texas' last='Cagers Select'] 2023 White)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Charis is an incredibly skilled guard who sees the floor well and creates space with her handle with ease. I was very impressed with her touch on her shot in the paint as well as the touch she displayed on full court passes that hit her teammates in stride. Her overall feel for the game and her basketball IQ were on full display as she dominated on both ends of the court. She read her opponents well and jumped passes in the passing lanes and took them the length of the court and finished well on the fast break. Her ability to go coast to coast truly stood out, she finished well at the rim and made the right reads to set up her teammates.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Leandria Holmes </strong>2023 5'10 Klein Forest High School, TX ([program_tooltip program_id='715647' first='Hoop' last='Lovers'] 2023)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Leandria is a high level guard who plays on both ends of the court and lived on the fast break after picking passes in the passing lane or rebounding the ball. She is aware on the break and made the right reads and constantly created for her teammates and found them with crisp passes that hit them in stride. In the half court, she constantly found her teammates and created shot opportunities for them. She displayed an ability to knock down shots off the dribble from beyond the arc. She constantly hit shots and was always a threat to score from the outside.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Malory Dougharty</strong> 2023 [program_tooltip program_id='715146' first='SETX' last='Elite'] Blue (Evadale High School)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Malory is a heads up player who always seems to make the right play whether that is the right pass or by moving without the basketball to manipulate the defense. Her ability to pass her teammates open in the full court is a real weapon and allows her teammates easy opportunities in the lane.&nbsp;She is an aggressive help defender who always seems to come over at the right moment to affect the play. She always comes screaming in on the weak side to affect the play by keeping her arms up and cutting off passes outside and forcing her opponent into a tough look.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2><strong>Brenda Torres</strong> 2023 Lady Storm Breakers Gold (Pasadena Memorial High School)</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brenda is a lanky guard who possesses a real calm nature to her game when operating with a live dribble. She always seems to read the defense well, and is good at maintaining her dribble or pivot foot as her teammates work to get open. She always seemed to be coaching her teammates on when and where to cut, which is always a valuable skill to have even from someone on the court. I would like to see her work on getting downhill more with her live dribble, she showed an ability to dance and operate on the perimeter, but I would like to see her get more aggressive and attack the rim.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
