Continue ReadingI have been involved on the girl’s side for over 20 years and I stress over and over that there is not anything POSITIVE I haven’t already seen so I also tell people that a CLOSE game doesn’t equate to a GOOD game however the game involving Pro Skills 2028 National and True Texas Hoops 2028 National was a very GOOD game.
I say that because it had next-level players going against next-level players, intensity stayed high, and the players showed great basketball IQ but just as importantly, so many players stepped up down the stretch so it falls into that “it’s not what you do, it’s you do it against” I always talk about and here are some of the standouts, from THE GAME, I’ll have others on my website so chill out
Jaeda Ramnanan Jaeda Ramnanan 5'10" | SG Briarhill | 2028 TX ( True Texas Hoops 2028 National)
Ramnanan was impressive when I caught her a few months ago at an event but to say I wasn’t overly impressed this time around would be an understatement. She has the frame, she has the athleticism and she has the power. She also is explosive off the dribble and watching her finish after contact was nice, yet so was her ability to drop the jumper, mid to long-range
Trinity Boyd ( True Texas Hoops 2028 National)
Boyd sold me the first time I saw her as her poise on the court, as well as the way she handled the pressure, was ahead of her years. she get the #sizedontmatter hashtag because she can play and she’s already showing her hesitation, THE HEZ, in the open court is going to create problems from here on. she also scored both off the dribble and with the jumper

Seal has the right last name because she is sealing things up with her game. Let’s start with she’s long and athletic, that is the base. I love watching her get to a variety of spots and elevate over defenders for the jumper yet she scores around the basket nicely and can attack from the wing yet she also plays the passing lane and defends well

Robinson had me drop that #D1Lock earlier in the event and to be honest, that’s all I wrote because it’s embedded in my memory. She too is ”long and athletic” and watching her explosiveness at this stage while staying under control is scary, for defenders, not me. She handles the ball in the open court after playing the lane, her jumper is solid but those acrobatic finishes
Jordan Lewis (Pro Skills 2028 National)
Lewis is going to, wait, she already is one of the best young players in her class, and her ability to play the 1 and the 2, while dropping the 3 and even the 4, yes fouled while making the 3 is a nice beat but her court vision is ahead of her years, as she threads the needle with ease. The Hez, change of pace, stutter step as well as step back are some of the tools she already possesses and they help her score off the dribble
Lauryn Williams (Pro Skills 2028 National)
Williams also gets the #sizedontmatter hashtag and to say she is one of the most intense players coming up, would DEFINITELY be an understatement. Her ”on the ball” defense JUST DID IT for me, and so did her body control as she finished strongly after contact, many times off balance. I can’t omit her ” mental toughness” as she battles like there is no tomorrow
