I was a middle school coach last year, and coached against Riley. I will not miss game planing against her. She is a tough player to match up with. She can beat you on the drive and stretch the floor and shoot from the outside. She plays with very high energy. She can also beat you down low. She is a versatile forward, that can play in transition, or the half court. Riley has a good skill set to match her size, and can impact the game in multiple ways.

Hailey played with high energy, and a competitive nature throughout the showcase. She played good defense, communicated well, and did a good job rotating in the correct positions. She used her length to disrupt the opposing teams Power Forward down low, and played good defense with her hand’s straight up without fouling. She is a strong and tough player, with a high upside to her game.
The 6’0 PF is mobile, can run the floor, and finish at the rim. She is a good player on both sides of the ball. Her combination of skills and size gives her a high upside. On defense she played with high intensity, and was able to guard multiple positions. She was very active in the passing lane, and her defense help lead to offense for her team. She is also showing the ability to stretch the floor. Another Forward at the showcase who can impact the game in multiple ways.
Brooke is a very strong built, and was a force in the paint at the showcase. She was able to will her way down low, and body people around. She finished at a high percentage, and converted through contacts. In an interview with another Prep Hoops Staff, Brooke said “my go to move in the paint is my drop step move”. I saw her use the drop step move multiple time throughout the day to score. Her passing from the post was also a skill I was impressed with. She will often see high pressure from the defense in the paint, so the ability to not force anything, and find the open teammate is a good skill for her to have. She is a strong built, who should make an instant impact at Dexter Southfield this coming season.
