I caught some players I hadn’t seen or saw limited times yet I also caught some players that I had seen and have continued to elevate their games, aka progression so let me progress with this story so I can try and wrap up Neville Jones Invitational today

Meyer
5'11"
Klein Cain | 2023
TX
– 6’0 PF (Klein Cain) Houston United 832 |2023|
Meyer slicing down the baseline and attacking from the wing are things that she’s added and that, coupled with standing at “the magic number” are simply things college coaches love. Her timing has gotten better, she’s finishing after contact plus she’s rebounding on both ends
Deasia Johnson- 6’1 SF (Skyline) Texas Top Prospects Black |2023|
Johnson was a pleasant surprise, if I had seen her in the past, I missed her, hey Texas is a huge state and with a roster, I keep it moving but she also keeps it moving with monster blocks and handling the ball coast to coast in traffic after. She also scored around the basket and rebounded on both ends
Aarilyn Johnson-5’11 PF (Trinity Leadership) Platinum BIQ Walker/Alexander |2023|
Johnson showed some nice moves around the basket yet her DROP STEP, how can I say this JUST DID IT for me but she also faced the basket and scored, attacked from outside the paint, and did a good job defending, both in and outside the paint. Oh yeah, she played the passing lane
Kelechi Dike-5’11 SF (Stephen F. Austin) Houston Dream Red |2023|
Dike flying through the air grabbed my attention the first time I saw her and watching her SNAG rebounds in one motion had me pumped. She also snags passes, yeah playing the passing lane is a huge plus, so that, as well as her timing not to leave out attacking and finishing, at times defying gravity, are all sweet
Amari Chambers-6’0 PF (Cypress Creek) Houston United Chuck |2023|
Chambers can punish on the interior, either overpowering defenders or accepting those who challenge the lane to reject their shots. She attacks strongly from the wing, finishes after contact, and does a good job defensively, on the ball. She also handles the ball and sees the floor, a huge plus for her size
Kendall Beck Kendall Beck 6'2" | C FEAST | 2024 State TX -6’2 SF ( HOME SCHOOL) Austin Elite RFW |2024|
Beck was added to the Top 100 after catching her with another team and watching her progression over the years has been nice. I really love her lateral movement defending outside the paint, that and the midrange have added to her timing and rebounding as well as scoring around the basket
Makayla Ellison- 5’9 SF (Crowley) Team Strive Blue |2025|
Ellison left a lasting impression and watching her apply pressure defensively to help create turnovers was refreshing, so was her handling the ball after intercepting, that’s playing the passing lane and in the open court, she was hard to deal with as she finished strongly. She also rebounds and scored on putbacks
Bree Hubbard-5’11 PF (Godley) Team Strive Blue |2025|
Hubbard is on the cover with Kendall Beck Kendall Beck 6'2" | C FEAST | 2024 State TX and sometimes I get lucky with the pictures I take but picture this, she attacks from a variety of angles and when you add her body control to finish, I enjoy that. I also enjoyed watching her rebound, on both ends as well as run the floor, on both ends. She also defends
Caleah Kennedy-6’1 PF (Macarthur) Lady Sharks 17U |2025|
Kennedy and Cohen went out of business years ago, GOOGLE IT, yet Caleah is on the verge of raising her stock. I love her upside, like the Gap Band song, again, GOOGLE IT, but her timing, defending, and scoring off the dribble while finishing after lick tells me a lot. Well so does the 73 inches and her being only a sophomore
