Schlabs possesses a high defensive motor along with room to grow as a perimeter threat. Standing right around 5’6, Schlabs consistently stays active on the defensive end, both in the halfcourt and fullcourt. She is aggressive digging into opposing drivers, where she does well grabbing steals without fouling. Within the fullcourt, the point guard is always roaming around in search potentially swiping away an outlet pass. On the offensive end, Schlabs is a knockdown shooter when given some space. Once attacking driving lanes, she uses fundamental pivots and hop steps as an avenue to make the right pass towards the perimeter.
Lexie Ransom – Natrona County – 2024
Standing roughly 5’5, the combo guard displays elite shooting upside along with flashy passing vision. The incoming junior is capable getting buckets on all three levels, although she is most prolific behind the three point line. Ransom is exceptional getting her shots quickly, either off the catch or bounce. She showed advanced footwork off of movement, oftentimes using a variety of combo moves to create a step back jumper. Ransom is a capable passer, both by hitting cutters and through dump off passes once the help defense arrives. One especially unique area of her passing skillset is her usage of side spin on the ball, where she did well maneuvering the ball around opponents to find a tight window. This past season at Seneca High School, Ransom averaged 18.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 3.8 steals while contributing 32% of her 172 three point attempts.
Addison Forry – Laramie – 2024
Standing roughly 5’10, Forry brought consistent production within transition while allowing no easy buckets on defense. At her height, she is capable accelerating a fair bit quicker than opposing wings and guards, allowing her to be a legitimate transition threat. On the defensive end, she is capable matching up with multiple positions, allowing her to switch screens at a higher volume.
Boden Liljedahl – Cheyenne East – 2023
At roughly 5’6, Liljedahl is a volume shooter from distance with championship pedigree. The incoming senior shooting guard is more than capable heating up from distance, having 5+ made threes in at least four performances at Cheyenne East. She is most consistent hitting shots off the catch, although a significant portion of her shots came with relatively light contests, she is certainly confident with a hand up. Coming off the school’s second straight 4A state championship, Liljedahl has the unique experience of not only being a workhorse deep into the season but by contributing when it matters.
Delaney Matkin Delaney Matkin 5'6" | PG Rocky Mountain | 2023 State CO – Rocky Mountain – 2023
The Western Colorado commit brought sharpshooting prowess under a myriad of situations along with some lead guard passing. At roughly 5’6, Matkin averaged 11.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game with Rocky Mountain. She was a volume shooter last season, attempting 169 three pointers. Matkin proved to be respectable hitting jumpers off the catch or out of the pick and roll, an area that could be significantly leveraged at the NCAA level. Within the 2023 class, Matkin ranks 23rd overall and 6th among point guards.
