The train keeps rolling for us at Prep Girls Hoops New Jersey, especially with thew newly updated 2023 prospect rankings that were released this week. There's talent up-and-down the board, even amongst our watch list players, of that there's over 100 names to go through. We're going to continue to look at the players in our watch list in this latest article for PGH NJ.

[player_tooltip player_id='481536' first='Riley' last='Baker'] - 5-8 SF, Williamstown

Baker was able to show off her ability to score and rebound for Williamstown last season, but definitely has plenty more in the tank this season. We would like to see her continue to capitalize on more playing time, get into better situations and create more opportunities to score. Based on what we've seen, that's going to happen sooner rather than later.

[player_tooltip player_id='482802' first='Amanda' last='Batista'] - SG, Perth Amboy Tech

Batista is a good shooter and looks like she could be a good volume shooter for Perth Amboy Tech. We're not going to call her a perimeter-only shooter as roughly two-thirds of her offense came inside the arc. She looks like she can shoot well and mixes up her shot selection. Continued success there will be to her favor.

[player_tooltip player_id='481528' first='Maya' last='Benichou'] - 5-4 PG, Wildwood

Benichou's best season came as a sophomore, but that doesn't mean that she won't be able to improve upon that as a senior. Her success has come on the defensive side of the ball, but she's shown promise as a facilitator for Wildwood. She can score on the interior, she can shoot from the outside, but she needs to do it consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id='481597' first='Talia' last='Black'] - PF, West Windsor-Plainsboro South

Black has shown consistency as a scorer and rebounder for West Windsor-Plainsboro South, especially last season. She blossomed last season into a successful two-way player and is continuing to build upon that. Her shot-blocking ability is also fantastic, something that might be her best overall asset as a player.

[player_tooltip player_id='481532' first='Isabella' last='Boyle'] - 6-2 C, Overbrook

Boyle knows how to use her size to her advantage and as a result, she's one of the better shot-blockers in South Jersey. That height really plays and allows her to be more aggressive, be more physical because that's led often to opportunity after opportunity to create turnovers, block a shot entirely or deflect a pass.

[player_tooltip player_id='482233' first='Caitlin' last='Brennan'] - 5-10 PF, Manville

Brennan has been a great defensive asset to Manville, a player who can very much rebound and hold her ground in the middle. Right now, the biggest stepping stone for her is getting that offense to the level that her defense was, and if she's able to more consistently do that, her game will almost exponentially improve.

[player_tooltip player_id='482307' first='Evenasia' last='Caesar'] - CG, West Side

Caesar showed that she can score and score well with West Side. She's become one of most reliable overall scorers on this team, but complements that with the ability to shoot from the outside and a great overall defensive plan that's pushed her to being someone who averaged over two steals a game as a junior. She's a really underrated guard that we have our eyes on.
