Madison Clark Madison Clark SF Haddon Heights | 2023 State NJ – Haddon Heights (2023)
Clark had herself quite the season for Haddon Heights as a junior, leading the Garnets in most offensive categories. Her 15.1 PPG scoring average was among the best in the Colonial Conference and we saw her find the ability to just absolutely dominate down low. Clark was able to cut into the lane with ease and operate as she pleased. The most impressive part about her game overall has been her ability to get to the foul line. Clark is not afraid to get physical down on the block and her aggression works perfectly.
Sophia Belbin Sophia Belbin C West Deptford | 2023 State NJ – West Deptford (2023)
Belbin has a big opportunity in front of her as a senior, being the one to fill the gap left by graduating senior Olivia Magee. That just leaves her as the main forward on this West Deptford team, the main mode of offense down low. Belbin presents a strong frontcourt option for the Eagles, someone who last year proved to be a great asset in the lane, a great finisher at the basket and an improving free throw shooter. With guards Janie Cross and Isabella DeCaesar Isabella DeCaesar SG West Deptford | 2023 State NJ feeding her in the paint, Belbin will get many chances and needs to consistently capitalize.
Gabby Recinto Gabby Recinto 5'10" | SF Cherokee | 2023 State NJ – Cherokee (2023)
Recinto had her breakout year as a junior for Cherokee and without a doubt, has shown herself to be one of the best forwards in the state in recent memory. She comes into the 2022-23 season ranked highly and for good reason. Recinto knows how to score and how to lead. She’ll be the leader of this season’s team without a doubt and is great at setting the tone in the paint. Cherokee doesn’t overpower teams offensively, but instead, methodically picks them apart and teams just haven’t found a way to stop her in the pain on both sides of the floor.
Riley Carr Riley Carr PF Maple Shade | 2023 State NJ – Maple Shade (2023)
On a team that’s dominated right now with a number of 2024 prospects, Carr is the lone impact senior on this season’s team for Maple Shade. She’s the perfect person to lead this program to new heights, with a great knowledge and feel for the game, plus a fantastic ability to score in a number of different ways Carr has found immense success down low and will continue to attack the basket as much as possible, but the more she can open up the perimeter for teammates in doing so, the more overall scoring opportunities there will be.
Debra Beecher Debra Beecher PF Triton | 2023 State NJ – Triton (2023)
Beecher is an incredible shot-blocker, averaging over five blocks a game as a junior for Triton. She put up near double-double averages last season and along with consistent success in the blocking territory, Beecher is a triple-double candidate in a unique way: points, rebounds and blocks per game. She’s commanded the lane well, she knows what to expect on defense, she has a great vertical which has contributed to a number of blocks, and along with improvements there, she’s making constant improvements on the offensive side of the ball. Beecher wants to have a well-rounded game and is well on her way there.
