Continue ReadingOn Sunday, September 25th, the “Rising BlueStar” Camp, came to Santa Fe Indian School, located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. A Four hour event Directed by Head Coach, Terri Morrison, of SFIS who is also an affiliate with Nike BlueStar 30 & Nike GEYBL.
The “Rising BlueStar” group consisted of middle schoolers (6th-8th grade). At this event, participants were able to showcase their abilities in a variety of drills that covered dribbling, passing, & shooting. With scrimmages of 3X3 & 5X5s to conclude, allowing all aforementioned teaching to be put together.
Here’s who impressed with a brief analysis!
To Start, we have a trio of sisters’ from Colorado that can all play at a level beyond their ages.
A sharp shooter and corner specialist. Abby hit multiple corners 3s with good form, and nice rotation on her jump shot.
A versatile player that was arguably the most exciting player to watch at the RBS. A Three-Level Scorer with good size, speed & strength.

A well balanced slasher that has the ability to finish in the lane through contact.

The lone sixth grader at the RBS, was a hardworking player that held her own during both individual drills and during scrimmages.

A fast two-way player; solid defender that has active hands and quick feet with a nice jumper on the flip side.
