I use the hashtag #ThereIsNoMe because, to be honest, there is NOT. I'm the first person to put Texas players out there on a NATIONAL level over a decade ago when I got tired of telling those "NATIONAL" geniuses what they were missing and although many run to these same people, good luck, I didn't and my daughter had over 100 D1 offers without any of their help, that isn't a typo.

When I cover these types of events, I try to get as much as I can on each player, no one else does that, so keep working, I look for progression and hopefully, our paths will continue to cross. Here is the final segment from the event, good luck in your freshman season to all who participated, I caught many future Top 100 plus players from this class that I hadn't seen before which is always a thrill

[player_tooltip player_id='486416' first='[program_tooltip program_id='712580' first='Journey' last='']' last='Mcilveene'] -5'6 CG/SF (Lone Oak) [program_tooltip program_id='715690' first='DC' last='Queens'] Royal

McIlveene is listed as a small forward, she does a good job getting positioning which enables her to rebound against taller players, she even scored on putbacks but her court vision stood out every game I caught her. She also did a good job handling the ball and attacking the basket

[player_tooltip player_id='486425' first='Ellie' last='Stanley']- 5'6 PG Burleson Centennial

Stanley is a heady PG that understands how to control the tempo and also plays within herself, meaning she doesn't do anything flashy or fancy for no reason whatsoever. She distributed the ball to the right teammate, in fact her court vision in transition was also impressive and she scored when needed

[player_tooltip player_id='486433' first='Isabella' last='Newton']-5'5 SG (Clements) TNBA

Newton created her shot nicely and showed she could do it over and over under pressure. More importantly, she knocked it down, in the set as well as in transition and when she pulled up to let it go, having a hand in her face didn't matter as she knocked it down

[player_tooltip player_id='486463' first='Madyson' last='Mitchell']-5'6 SG (Shoemaker)

Mitchell is an athletic guard that JUST DID IT on both ends. Her "on the ball" pressure helped create turnovers, she also has quick hands and came away with steals but her powerful finishes using good body control, yes after contact also did it for me. Her midrange was solid, and she saw the floor well

[player_tooltip player_id='486417' first='Celeste' last='Butler']-5'4 SG (Harker Heights) Dream United

Butler not only answered the bell but opened the door as she got hers "in the flow" but her scoring off the dribble, as well as dropping it from outside stood out, and so did her pressure defense. She reads the floor well, understands how to force players into the trap, and came away with some steals

[player_tooltip player_id='486459' first='Taytum' last='Osornio']- 5'6 SG (Rains) BCB Elite and TSP

Osornio played solid defense, even played the passing lane so that automatically had me smiling but watching her create her shot was nice as well. Her deceptive first step enabled her to get to the rim and a slight HEZ created spacing for her to knock it down from the midrange

[player_tooltip player_id='486426' first='Morgan' last='Dodd']- 5'9 SG (Reagan County)

Dodd falls into that category I love and that's big guards that can shoot. More importantly, many college coaches love that profile as well and they give scholarships. Her poise under pressure was very nice as she wanted it in the clutch and being able to deliver from mid to very long-range was solid

[player_tooltip player_id='486447' first='Whitney' last='Bruce']- 5'9 SF (Ursuline Academy Of Dallas)

Bruce showed the pull-up jumper early, yeah I caught it, and watching her rebound on both ends and score around the basket was nice. Peep this, as the games progressed, I have UPS and SWATTING shots in CAPS but her defying gravity with good body control on her finishes was pretty impressive
