The game has and always will start at the 1. I repeat things over and over due to many speed readers that don't retain what I write, let me again overemphasize no one knows any more about this which is more relevant than I do, which is why I use the #ThereIsNoMe hashtag. I'm not an expert because my daughter had over 100 D1 offers or won a National Championship, or even because she has played 9 seasons in the WNBA, that has nothing to do with it. Nor does me helping thousands of players, both directly and indirectly, get on the map and (or) receive next-level opportunities. What makes me an expert, at least at this, is because I know where the bar was set so here are some up and comers

[player_tooltip player_id='486458' first='Ella' last='Walterscheid']-5'1 (Muenster) Platinum-Bartlett

Walterscheid was more than a pleasant surprise as she gave me glimpses of her game during the club ball season as I was roaming around courts yet catching her in this setting gave me a good view of what she brings to the table. She handles the ball well and scored off the dribble yet she also saw the floor and hit teammates while attacking. She also defends well and plays the passing lane

[player_tooltip player_id='486410' first='Kaiya' last='Mccoy'] -5'2 (Springdale) Lang NWA Thunder

McCoy as in "THE REAL" is one of those #sizedontmatter players because she can play. Her court vision in the open court was just as good, well maybe even better than in the set because her passes were crisp and on the money from over 20 feet. She also REBOUNDED against taller players and used her athleticism and speed to go coast to coast but in the set, she created her shot and scored off the dribble

[player_tooltip player_id='486457' first='Alexius' last='Smith']-5'4 (Shoemaker) [program_tooltip program_id='715100' first='House4Hoops' last='']

Smith falls into that "long and athletic" category because of her frame and length which enabled her to defend "on the ball" and create turnovers but she also created on the flip, for herself and her teammates, setting them up for easy shots. She saw the floor and handled the ball under pressure while also showing she could attack the basket with either hand and score after contact

[player_tooltip player_id='486431' first='Indiana' last='Pak']- 5'5 (Bellaire) [program_tooltip program_id='715810' first='United' last='Athletics']

Pak was on the attack and when you play the passing lane as effortlessly as she does, I'm going to be overly excited yet she does things instinctively. always a good sign and showed good timing to block shots along with using her hand to "pick some pockets" aka steal the ball. She understands how to control the tempo, she doesn't force passes yet gets them to the right person and she scored

[player_tooltip player_id='486432' first='Elayne' last='Gomez']-5'6 (Braswell) DC Queen Henry

Gomez is heady and plays within herself and trust me, at the 1, that's always huge yet I also enjoyed her poise under pressure as she handled the trap as well as double-team with ease. She made good decisions, I said she was heady, and she understands how to run a team. She made tough passes look easy, she also scored off the dribble yet dished while attacking as well and she dropped the outside shot

[player_tooltip player_id='486468' first='Ava' last='Sanders']-5'6 (Bishop Lynch) Dallas Roadrunners

Sanders came out playing defense, on the ball, baseline to baseline and her intensity stayed the same every chance I saw her but she also showed how to force the offensive player to pick up their dribble, as well as send them into traps. Her timing was also good, she altered and deflected shots plus, she played the passing lane but her ball-handling and court vision were also big pluses

[player_tooltip player_id='486462' first='Rotem' last='Marom']-5'6 (Centennial)

Marom was smooth when the heat came and handling the ball in the open court while being defended hard is always a good sign but the signs didn't stop there as her blistering passes in traffic, on the money, JUST DID IT for me. She also scored off the dribble but mixed it up nicely as she created her outside shot while being defended. In transition, she showed the "stop and pop" and even dropped it from deep
