The next sectional we're looking at is sectional two in division three. Last season, Freedom won this sectional dominantly. However, there has been a shakeup in this sectional that could affect the outcome.

State Contenders

Freedom

The state runner-ups return four starters from last season. They have the talent and experience that would lead me to believe that the Irish should be back at the Resch next March. Winona State commit [player_tooltip player_id='342100' first='Sadie' last='Jarmolowicz'] is back and is one of the most effective returners in the state. Wings [player_tooltip player_id='206732' first='Kierstin' last='Kriewaldt'], Rylie Murphy, Sydney Bartles, and Gracie Martzhal are back. They have more returners and a talented freshman this season. This group feels like it has unfinished business.

Kewaskum

After a heartbreaking sectional loss to Waupun last season, Kewaskum got moved from sectional three to sectional two. This group also returns a talented 2023 class, including 6-foot forward [player_tooltip player_id='156081' first='Madilyn' last='Dogs']. They can compete with anyone in Division 3 and are more than good enough to lift the gold ball in March.

Sectional Teams

Wrightstown

Although the Tigers lost a massive senior class last year, this program returns some talent and has a history of developing talent. With [player_tooltip player_id='264919' first='Jordan' last='Vickman'] back, the Tigers could still find themselves in sectionals next year.

Brillion

Winona State commit [player_tooltip player_id='156082' first='Megan' last='Schuman'] is one of the toughest players to guard in Wisconsin. The Lions were one game away from the state tournament last season. I don't see why this team won't contend next season.

Oostburg

The Flying Dutchmen return two of their three top scorers and add a few talented freshmen. I'll rarely highlight freshmen as why I think a team will make a run in the postseason, but the Keterhagen twins are that good. Ady and Riley Keterhagen are excellent wings who can take this team to another level.

Frisky Regional Teams

Chilton

This team lost Olivia Hoerl, but I think her sister [player_tooltip player_id='434024' first='Adahlyn' last='Hoerl'] will fill the void left by her older sister well. I don't know what to expect from this team, but I think they'll be competitive.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran

[player_tooltip player_id='448257' first='Makenzie' last='Luehring'], [player_tooltip player_id='448261' first='Madeline' last='Leffel'], and [player_tooltip player_id='419332' first='Taylor' last='Schwalenberg'] are excellent together, and they beat Waupun last season. They're competitive and could surprise a team in the postseason.
